Premiere or preview showing? Everywhere I've checked says the 6th... in 3 weeks. |
yeah whatever, OP/ED still didn't get finished according to what I'm reading.
Lelouch's memory regain was caused by some sort of memory loss protocol set up by CC, and only takes one episode (triggered by a kiss)
told full episode summaries are getting posted on animesuki.

now now... don't hate so much on suzaku... I know we all want him dead but if he did die anytime soon that would just ruin it for the show... he needs to be there so that the haters watch the show every single time waiting for him to kick the bucket...
a handful of sequels to watch out for this year... _________________

well, I highly doubt it since R2 is supposedly a sequel to season1.
I mean, without season1, you wont even know how Lelouch gain his power and all that....you'll miss out on lots of stuffs.. ... |

Well, you can certainly sit down and watch it but the enjoyment factor will be reduced significantly and you'd have no idea who's who and what's going on. It looks like you live in Europe (otherwise I would suggest watching season 1 on Cartoon Network), so you can either wait for it to be released on DVD and watch season 2 afterwards or just grab a fansub of season 1 and watch it before season 2. |

Elsewise you don't have to watch it, just alot of people will be. |

Yeah, that pretty much did it for me too. Thats when I decided this show simply isn't one I will enjoy watching any more of. Of the characters, the only decent one left is the little sister. Look for her to die soon. |

Believe it or not, I actually think that is one of the strongest parts of CG. It doesn't happen out of the blue; there had been plenty of warning that the Geass would misfire sooner or later. it is also the point where Lelouch's ambition comes and bites him in the ass, dragging tons of innocents down as well.
Life's like that.
I like it how the characters remain consistently solid during and after the tragedy, lelouch remains a manipulator; forcing himself to use extreme circumstances that not even he would have wanted. Suzaku's feelings finally overflow, leading him to put his typically idealistic reasoning aside for once. Cornelia breaks down temporarily. And the rebellion takes the chance to make its move against Britannia when, for better or worse, public opinion is on their side. It's a master stroke.
I don't mind strong or "shocking" anime at all. Dark, bleak or bloody doesn't bother me much; I'd probably grow sick if all I ever watched was happy-go-lucky. I like stories that flow consistently (code geass? check), characters that are well-developed, fleshed out and something that I can empathize with (Code geass? check), adequate aesthetic framework (code Geass? check) and overall, have a universe that interests me (Code Geass: check).
Personally, I think it this is actually one of those points that make or break a series' appeal to a viewer. Therefore, I can understand why someone would drop the show at that point; but bue to a combination of factors I'd say that Code Geass is a "make" for most cases. _________________
