I thought those were Haruka's legs. Anyways, Okawari was pretty good, though different from the first. The only thing I found really disappointing was those people in black and not even moving, killed a part of me when I saw them. |

yaa!!!! that was bothering me as well .. like it killed the atmosphere of the room .. it wasn't as "bright and lively" with them behind our main chararacters...[/spoiler] |

I prefer the original so far, but that may be because what I think Minami-ke should be like was defined by the first series...
Incidentally, I knew a guy at uni who was exactly like Hosaka. Down to the random sweating and the penchant for baring his chest. He looked a lot like him, too... I get worrying flashbacks every time Hosaka comes on the screen! |

I'm liking what I've seen so far for Okawari. I'm very glad they kept with the same cast of seiyuu's ~ the quirkiness from the characters were retained. I think the fan-service was upped a little for this one. And opening and ending I prefered the first one's better... it was more more happier and felt more 'Minami-ke' ^^"

| Hmmmm, three eps in and I'm just not getting the same vibe. The humor almost seems subdued. Maybe this is due to the drop in quality that others have mentioned. All in all it just doesn't feel as "warm" as the first run. Anyone agree? |

i kind of get that lack of "warmth" feeling, too. i think it has a lot to do with the character redesigns. whereas the first season had simple, easy-on-the-eyes girls-next-door look, the sisters this season have a highly detailed "goddess" look about them. There are definately some scenes where i still get that nice tingly hauu~ x3 feeling, but other times...the eyes just scare me.

| the blackout of background characters really annoy mi >_< but at least Hosaka is still as crazy as his imagination haha.... i wonder how would the minami brothers look like in Okawari.... |

Okay, after 4 episodes I can clearly say that although I still enjoy the characters very much, both the writing and the art are substantially diminished. I actually fast forwarded through parts of the last episode, something I never did during the first series. I was always dreaded the end of an episode and the week I'd have to wait to revisit the characters.
The new episodes just seem flat. |

Seconded that... it made the current season's OP and ED appear unfitting. But at least, I think, they're sang by the VA's of the Minami sisters?
A small spoiler, Chiaki appears in the ED of the forth episode. Maybe more will join her as the series continues? Kana looks pretty alone...

4 episodes down and where is Minami Natsuki? Well, only in the second season I feel that Hosaka is KIMOCHIWARUI |

It's a running gag in the series pertaining to how well women's clothing suits him. He's been cross dressing so long that he's gone beyond just the single outfit he wears when he visits the sisters. He now has started enjoying wearing women's clothes and building a wardrobe to expand the "kit" he carries to change from Makoto to Mako-chan. |

Same here. I suppose this is the characters' uniqueness and cuteness of Minami-ke since it is somewhat a fresh idea and really different from other animes I'd seen. Though the design for the characters looks slightly better, it's missing some flavor here and there. Not quite sure how to express it. Oh and the way they walk in the opening theme looks weird.... |

Why was Touma trying to avoid Fujioka?
The showing off swimsuit bit was pretty funny, especially Mako-chan and the 'high-five' between Touma and him ^^
Haruka's gonna rage when she wakes up lol

becoz Fujioka doesnt know Touma is actually a girl.. as for why Touma doesnt just tell him, i think it has something to do with the ep1 "onsen" incident
