Probably because Fujioka doesn't realize shes a girl. But if he sees her in a swimsuit, it will be rather obvious.

Yeah, the old one had that simple and happy feel, which was what drew me into the series (T-T) Although the new on is kinda cool too...nevertheless, so far I still prefer season1
and I miss the tear-drop shaped mouth.... |

EP10
Chiaki is somewhat different from usual. (behaviour and character)
For eg, She simply looks sad when Kana ate her cup ramen when usually she would have hit her or something
Hope its only for this ep, and not part of "plot/charac development"
I still prefer the old Chiaki =P
And Hoyami senpai is still alcoholic XD
"juice dakara ."

EP13
All in all I still liked the 1st season, but this one wasn't to bad either.
Gotta love that tender moment between all the three sisters, made the series worth watching for me. Hahahaha Hosaka ending was so funny!

Yeah, when I first started watching it, I was a bit put off by the stylistic differences. I still prefer season 1 over season 2, but I have to admit, I enjoyed this one quite a bit as well. And yeah, that touching moment at the end of episode 13, between the sisters, was really great!
Any chance of getting part 3? |

yeah, overall, Okawari is great(not as good as S1, but still good nevertheless)
penguin! panda ! anaconda ~~~!!!
awww~~~
the last scene between the sisters are so heartwarming.
and to end off,we get to hear the opening theme to the first season !!!
and finally
HOSAKA YOU ROCK!!! his gags with Maki (always ending withe signature phrase "kimochiwarui) are just soooo hilarious
the final scene on the plane is the ultimate.
but its kind of a let down that the Minami bros didnt have any roles here in Okawari. |

Err, what brothers? They have brothers? I thought it was just the 3 sisters. This from the manga then? |

it took some adjusting (the characters had different hair colours, eye colours and the way they were drawn were slightly different) but i thought that it was every bit as good as the first one. the hilarity is still there; the personalities were just so...minami-ke. and the signature serious eyes...oh lol.
chiaki's eyes in ep 5 when she gave the thumbs up to kana...priceless. and haruka's expression....LMFAO
when
chiaki just stared at the cup ramen, it was much more powerful at evoking sympathy in that she realized that what's done can't be undone and emphases her disappointment. then it goes into the ultimate resolution in that kana shares her own stash after because she realized how much it meant to chiaki. having an elder sister, i can really sympathize. when you have something that you really looked forward to snatched away, then unexpectedly returned after you threw in the towel, the feeling of jubilee is difficult to express. to chiaki, that cup ramen made all the difference. it was awful nice of kana to return the cup ramen, even if she was at fault to begin with.
also...
i knew that haruka would never have left the two either way, but i thought for SURE that they were gonna throw in something like 'one of the other minami brothers were going overseas' and that it was a misinterpreting of the minami last name because minami was so popular. they stressed it a lot so i thought the gag might run. but it didn't; they decided to go with the simpler hug and kisses approach and i think it worked for the better. sweet ending eh? =p
the chance of getting a part 3 isn't out of the question (unlike luckystar in which they graduated); minami-ke didn't have much of a plot to begin with, being slice of life and all. it'd be pretty easy to continue, especially when the manga is still running. i'm hopeful for a return. |
