There is a girl that gives a letter to you... this isn't just any letter... I'ts a letter from the departed... the final message of the dead to the living...
anyone else picking this series up???
now i must say... after watching the first ep i was literally like...
"What the hell????"
well at least the episode did manage to make me want to watch the next ep... just to find out what the hell is going on...
your thoughts??? _________________

Only read about it via anidb and seen some screen caps so far.
Sounds like an interesting concept, horror and mystery. Will need to catch it later before i can comment further.
It's been out for up to 3 episodes so far, right? _________________

hmm.. dunno.. might turn out into another "cute girl" psycho killer fest.
ep1 was okay.. tho i find these combinations rather a bad taste(personal opinion) and already done before..
the whole deal if without the "talking staff" might be a bit better... cant avoid the cute girl part here since its what the story is about..
i think after seeing shinigami no ballad they had to think of a new sidekick for the "messenger".. guess they scratched up a whole lot of cute pet ideas and came up with a talking stick in the end. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

| this show isn't as bad as ^ makes it out to be. the way the stories (you'll see what i mean if u watch ep 2) are presented flow really well. lot of surprises/unexpected things come up. going to have to see how well they do the next few arcs to see if it's good or not. each arc will center around different groups of people. stand alone arcs? that's how i would describe it i guess. |

| After watching the first episode, I'm pretty much done with this one. I seriously doubt I'll watch the rest unless there is a lot of positive buzz on this. Even then I doubt I'll be willing to revisit it. |

| Yes, it does show some affinity with shinigami no ballad. I guess i'll give it a try. |

I usually give a show at least 3 episodes before I make a decision on it. However if the first episode fails to grab me at least a little, then going on to a second... Well, some shows fail to capture my interest enough to even get to the 3rd episode. This is one of them.
Don't feel bad though. The thing is we all like different things. You obviously see something in this series that you connect with. I don't. So enjoy, and allow me to enjoy, well something else. |

ep2..
i must admit that was actually pretty good.
i guess i can live with the talking stick being there... even the flashy gun spining thing.. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

i thought it was pretty good as well .. though the atmosphere and weird turn of events that occured isn't the usual things i enjoy .. the story itself was done nicely .. it made sense for the most part of why the characters did what they did ..
though i'm still not sure why the younger cop guy shot her .. he seemed to do it AFTER she cut the rope meaning she was no longer headin towards the old guys direction .. but i guess i'm also assuming since it wasn't totally shown
.. either way .. i'll continue watching this just to see the different interesting stories .. though it hasn't as "happy ending" as most of kino no tabi .. the type of story telling reminds me of it .. which i enjoyed a lot .. |

Thought I'd stop by to see if the anime was a thumbs up or thumbs down. 4chan told me to check it out, but now I see otherwise. _________________

up to episode 2, and I can say this series definitely have some twists. It sort of reminds me of school day, and it'll have many short arc story line. Its too emotional for me though, I can't really take depressing stuff like Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien or latin(wish they'd label the series b4 I learn it the hard way). Feels like every arc will be emotional and sad, so I think 1 arc is enough impact on me already.
Don't get me wrong though, its a great series as far as episode 2 goes. I just can't really take sad and depressing anime, but definitely give this series a shot if you like this genre. |
