Hello, true tears almost just ran down my face, when I heard m33w dropped True Tears because it was licensed.
So I was thinking, does anyone know if there are any other fansubbing group whos taking care of it in the future ?
Same question goes out for Shigofumi
as a general rule of anime fansubbing, and possibly an official 'code' they all follow is, that they cease fansubbing something once the anime is licensed for an english adaptation, OR, when the japanese company that has rights over their anime series requests as such.
maybe one or two groups will ignore it and continue to sub, but the risk is higher for groups to keep subbing rather than submit and stop.
the companies can inflict legal action on a fansubbing group if the company requests that they take it down because the company has bought the license to the series. not the fangroup.
that in turn means, that the fansubbers are stealing property by continuing to sub it.
so, rather than get sued, more groups stop.
seems ive gotten off topic.
basically, its just gonna be really hard to find the rest of that series. sorry.
if u really like it, buy it when it comes out _________________ [img:567:138:151453bb6b]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/wahagifsda.gif[/img:151453bb6b]

Problem is, here in Denmark, anime and manga isnt really that popular, så getting your hands on it, is rather hard

that's a point in the counter-argument to the fansub debate (yeah, it's licensed in R-1 and R-2, but not in Europe). Technically license-rights are protected internationally, but lawsuits usually only seem to target groups in the same company. Your best bet is a group in Europe will take on the project, but the odds of it being in English are probably slim. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

A majority of the time, though, there's been at least one fansub team that continues to work on a show even after its licensing (i.e. Dattebayo (which, may I add, is located in WA) for Bleach).
Anyways, it seems your initial question may have now been answered, as w.0.0.f. and moetaku has released the fifth episode. _________________

Yap, w.0.0.f (Anyone who follows the fansub group, will know their real name) made a rather smart move, which im very happy about, kinda saved my butt x)
