your basically hooked if you read the manga. i was reading it then i brought the complete dvd series !

I wouldn't say all Manga are better than their Anime counterparts, but this certainly is the case for Love Hina to me. Still, it's always watching a bit of the Anime to get an idea of what sort of voices the characters have.

I haven't watched the main brunt of the TV series, but I've seen the two specials and LH Again. That was enough to deter me from the main series - the story and characters really are stunted in the Anime. Love Hina Again had me groaning as I recognised the inspirations for many scenes. Such as...

Naru running the 'gauntlet' through the Annex to reach Keitaro at the top. This is based on two separate arcs in the Manga:

Vol 12: Naru runs away from everyone rather than admit that she has feelings for Keitaro. The residents of Hinata-sou give chase to her across half of Japan, with numerous alliegance switches along the way (first Kitsune and Mutsumi help Naru out, then Kanako lends a hand and finally everyone is pushing for Keitaro). One key scene is where Kanako and Naru disguise themselves as each other and run in opposite directions - Keitaro chases Kanako knowing that she was disguised as Naru, allowing him to give her some words from his mind that convinces her to give up the ring.

Vol 13: The 2nd Amolan Kaollan (Flagship of the 3rd air fleet of Su's homeland) arc is where Su kidnaps Naru away from Keitaro and the rest of the girls try to stop him from rescuing her. They all know that Keitaro and Naru are now bound for each other, but since they're also in love with Keitaro, they can't let them get together without a confrontation. Keitaro's words with Motoko and Shinobu (plus his defeating of Motoko with her own technique) were touching and shows how much these two have developed over the years.

The Manga follows the residents of Hinata-sou for 3 years (plus another 4 if you count the Epilogue). It's a shame that the Anime couldn't do that for them - Motoko's (and Shinobu's) late developments never got animated despite all the extensions to the end of the TV series.

Still, the Anime does have merits and new material of its own that can't be found in the Manga. If you really love this series, then watch the Anime and then the Manga.

Just a ques after chapter 122 is there more like a couple chapter follow ups??
I just finished and say It is a really great manga very sweet and touchinf specially the 2 last volumes I kinda got sad in the last few chaps like the part where everyone left and all that and also very glad that it ended in a happy way... I even think that this one is better than I's or Ichigo or I think tie I can't decide... If only the scanlation of the manga was better....

Love Hina is pretty...but a little annoying is you read/watch it too much on a day...it's better to read daily an episode...because some of them are almost the same...

haha, yeah. all i have to say is that it is much more fullfilling if you watch the anime first then read the manga. but its well worth your time!

I don't know. I really enjoyed reading the manga first, but yeah, I guess the anime couldn't compare when I watched it after.

I hated Naru in the anime, but i liked her in the manga for some reason. Shinobu turned out to be really hot at the end during the wedding. I always thought she was cute. I like mutsumi better tho! Nasa Pakwan ang Lakas! (in filipino "The strength lies in the Watermellon")
