"Not an Idiotic Cat", I was really, really impressed when the picture loaded up and I was treated to a view from mid-thigh up. It really reminded me of the professional covers that graced Dragon magazine by Larry Elmore.
However from mid-thigh down, there are some parts that took away from the whole. The lower legs seem misproportioned. The legs as a whole look short and the feet malformed. The left leg really looks weird in that posture.
A note of curiousity : the breasts eh... looks like she is wearing a super push up bra. Personally I prefer them to have more natural swelling Pretty good size though, neither too humongous nor non-existent Love the size, hate the "push-up". |

It's nice. Other than the boob job (it looks like she's had some kind of surgery with how round you make her breasts) and the left side of her waist (bends in far too much, especially since she's got her arm raised), I like the picture overall and don't really have a problem with any of it.
She's kind of a like a female Mad Maxx.
And does it say "Hope" on her gas mask? If it does, I like that little detail. Really cool. |

Now at home with my larger monitor, I am able to see what I felt was wrong with the legs. It is actually the big feet, the legs are of good length but the size of the feet cuts down the length of her right calf. The left leg still looks weirdly rubbery.
I think you managed to obtain a very good skin tone. |

i hope i got a good skin tone heh. i've been playin around witht hat alot. people usually try to pick browns and that where they go wrong. i start of by picking a muddy red.
anyways, there'll be no comments on her leg WIDTH. i drew her a little more stocky for a reason.
for the boots though, i know they are messed up >,<
but i gave her big feet on purpose, really. i appriciate big feet in art. i think it looks cool. it also, does say hope on her mask. i'll give some close ups soon. she's a got a smiley face star there too. |

| That's good, the woman has a good figure and she looks realistic with her skin tone and clothes. |

hmm... as I expected, the picture is of excellent quality.
the subject, however, I found very surprising. Are you pandering to the masses? _________________ The pen is mightier than the sword

nope, only to myself. i'm constantly struggling to build a good foundation on anatomy so i can bring my own style to it and still make it look good. i did this picture with more realism and darkness about it because i wanted a bit of a change. |

Taking ur style into account and all, i'ld say the only problem i can see is the feet's positioning. On the left one the band covers the ankle in a way that makes it look like she has no ankle bone and the twisting of that foot looks awkward from the positioning of the heal. The other ankle is a tad thicker and the heel makes the twist seem a bit forced. For me feet are always the largest pain because of the whole weight issue etc and leme tell ya...I've had NO luck with heels
The rest of the pic is awsome and the skin tones came out very nice. Reminds me of some of the cover art on various fantasy/sci-fi novels. I know that i am not who you are asking ... but i would say that using anywher around ... 5-8 shades with some "smearing" to make like millions of shades ... in reality ... is plenty sufficient.
because to make a pic look decent you only really need two ... a normal and a shadow ... but to take it a level higher you need different shadow tones and you NEED highlights ...
but that's just my two cents worth ... ^^ |
