If you mean that the characters are pretty much typical and generic, yeah I have to agree with that. Indeed overall, I wont exactly consider this into my "all-time fav list ". Neither will I say that its bad. I'll just say thats so far (base on ep1) its pretty decent. At least decent enough to continue watching.

and I find it a pity that Baccano! was so underrated. I mean its great, but not many people knew about it.

well, Im not gonna comment on that so quickly, though I gotta say that the anchors and thus the main fame holders for this year are probably the sequels rather new productions . (CG:R2 , Minami-ke: Okawari, xxxHOLiC :Kei, and the coming Suzumiya Haruhi )
But, like I said, its still kinda early to really tell... ... |

i think yuki's eyes are way too big but beside that i think its nice.
of course the excitement isn't there coz i've read the manga..but i'm gonna keep it in my currently watching list..  and i still wanna see more of miyano mamoru's voice acting as zero.....^^

If yor reading the manga you will know the plot for Vampire Knight is interesting. Check Baka updates Manga for details...The story thickens especially about Zero's family and Yuuki's Mysterious past....
Dont judge this anime cause it only started....
Good looking Night class students.....

Same here. though Ive not read the manga for Vampire Knight, Ive watched quite a few Vampire themed anime---this scene is definitely expected---and in a way a trademark in Vampire anime
In short---Ep2 has made me taken a liking to this anime |

I'm enjoying this anime lots so far, and it's been 2 episodes. I saw the manga at Borders yesterday and I was suprised how true/close they kept the character designs ^^
And I have to say Yui Horie is like the perfect voice for Yuuki. It just works so well. Haha and I look foward to the bits where Yor-chan gets her lines (Kana Udea <3) Mamoru Miyano as Zero is soooo good xD
Can't wait for more xD

Even though it's a "trivial" vampire thing, it's a really good anime.
The story seems very solid, even if it should have been seen before it's very well created.
This is without a doubt on my list to "must watch".
Also both opening and ED fit perfectly into the anime and really boosts a vampiric charm over it.
I won't be reading the manga but if those who have, says it's a great story, then i'm even more excited about this anime's progress. Both 1st and 2nd episode were very good introductions.
only one thing to say, which is also the opening line to the OP that's also have a dramatizing effect.

I really liked the mood of this anime, even if some unnecessary jokes appear every now and then.
This one together with Code Geass R2 are probably my picks to watch while being released.
^Too bad only Shoku-dan seems to be subbing it, and not only that, they are a little late compared to the first two releases ... Well, all we can do now is wait !  |

Holy crap episode 3 was awesome...
Vampire Knight is turning into my favorite for the season.
no, Yuuki won't become a vampire, only those humans bitten by purebloods are turned into vampires, Kuran is a pureblood, very rare, also the vampire who killed Zero's family was a pureblood and since he survived it, he became a vampire himself, remember the difference between born vampires and humans who transform into vampires is HUGE

Ep3 was simply awesome !!!
I love the scene at the end where Zero bit her neck--- the music in the background was splendid, really creates that dark,ominous yet stylish atmosphere
I cant get enough of the Gothic themed music !!!

ep3 was good, it really showcased the "atmosphere" of the show, well theres still the silly moments..
like the table, one moment his claws crunched on them, the next scene the table has regenerated. o__O
so yeah.. after code geass' "nina and the table" ya tend to notice a few things.. never looked at furniture the same way again..
and and, the OP song of Vamp Knight still sucks!!
