Just got done watching Episode 23 sick. all that blood and the madness...they might all die...

I know I shouldn't compare... but I was expecting more from the fight of Maka and Chrona... more madness to it... Very Happy

like Maka stomping on Chrona's Head against the scythe...
but its still good...

especially when they did that monologue of Chrona... I know some people got bored with that but I think that was essential in bringing depth to Chrona's character...

I'm up to episode 21 and like that the characters' faults are keeping things humorous.

Was it revealed as to why death the kid holds his guns upside down and fires with his pinkies? If it's answered later in the series (maybe someone is ahead with manga knows, which I don't read), just tell me that it will be answered later.

I don't mind black star's "big" personality, or maka's slightly squeaky voice. Episodes may switch from humor to action to mental struggles but every watch has been entertaining. I might be able to make it to 51. I want to see Soul as a death scythe if that does happen.

with the way things are progressing and if they are going to be following the manga I don't think 51 eps will cut it for this show...

it doesn't say why kid shoots like he does (yet?) but it looks like its because of his fighting style... he is a long range to short range fighter... using his guns to keep distance and if it gets into close quarter combat he blocks and attacks with his gun in hand... as his punches land he shoots the gun as well... if the gun were in the upright position and he does that it doesn't look as smooth or as cool... Very Happy

It's done.. Now I wonder what's happening in the manga cuz the anime has good closure to it.. I dont know who'd they face after Asura.. We have to move this thread.. Smile

enjoyed the series... the ending was a bit too corney for me... but it worked. Great action. There is always more that they could add to the story.... it's possible to have a season 2, they are all still kids! Who knows.

I guess I'm lucky I stick to the manga and forsake the anime after about 10 episodes...seriously these animes should follow the manga plot more...and not just end it abruptly with some ridiculous message.

I thought the ending arc made little to no sense, actually.

Medusa, who freed the Kishin in the first place because she wanted to "create the new world," sabotages Arachne by telling Shibusen where her castle was, leading to their defeat. So even though she wanted to create the same "new world" using Asura and the madness machines... what am I not getting here? Character motivation seems off to me. I know the manga has Medusa teaming up with Shibusen, but the Kishin was not involved.

Then the bad guy tries to talk his opponents to death in the last fight. I guess that's a pet-peeve of mine: philosophizing villains who care more about gloating and letting the protagonists get a second wind than winning. We need more Adrian "I did it 35 minutes ago" Veidts in the world of fiction.

The ending was also horrible, resorting to a cliched "alright, we're out of time" plot device straight out of Escaflowne. Ugh. 18 hours for this? Fairly disappointing series all-in-all.

sorry to take this now, but just finished to watch this.

omg one of the worst ending ever, i want to puke soooo much.

and until some episodes back (shinigami vs ashura) it was all right.

wtf is this finale?

gotta read the manga hoping is not like the anime, wtf!?!?!?!
