Would you still visit Anime-Source if...

Anyway, I found this topic quite interesting.
What really brings fans to , not just A-S, but anime sites in general ?
Is it really becoz of Manga and Fansubs available being the primary attraction ?

So, as an "extension" to the blog post, maybe to be more "statistical" , to have a more accurate look, thought I'll start this poll. Very Happy

(statistics are often thought to be the "ideal" way to view results isnt it ? )

Okay, for me, its the forums. Its where I really spend most of my time (and have fun) in this site, where I get to have discussions with other fans and express my views.
Then theres also the Articles and Spotlight reviews. I really enjoy reading them. I mean, I feel that these are what personalize a site. Fansub release and manga are available in many many other sites and are the same. Articles written, on the other hand, are unique specifically to this site. Other sites might have articles of the same topic, but different in content.

In short, the fansubs and manga being removed wouldnt really bother me. What will really bother me is if the regular member stop chatting in the forums , no anime reviews, and worst of all, if the those awesome articles written by the mods and staffs are no longer available.

So, what about you guys ?

Of course I will since I always come here to check the forums or anime reviews.

I usually visit any sites either to download whatever I want there without getting in their forums or get in the forum alone.

i came across a-s back when i first started my whole descent into the hellish nightmare of anime and manga. i happened across this picture of an anime/manga girl, which i thought was brilliant. i did a lot of research into her and discovered her name - nishino tsukasa, from ichigo 100%. that was when i was first influenced by manga and i happened across this site while searching where i can read it.

my life story goes on a while; it'd take like 5 pages of boring self narration but the point is that i came because there was manga.

i stick around now for the forums, the fansub release page and of course, to write my most awesome pieces of brilliant literature for everyone else to enjoy. if we didn't have the release page, i'd be greatly inconvenienced and i from an acquire-only basis, i wouldnt' care about the manga section because i get my manga from other sites (but i'd care as a staff because others enjoy it). i'd still stick around to write more articles and reviews and that's the end of the story.

some> fansubs are anime FAN groups that SUBtitle anime series in english, usually.

I joined the site because of it's manga, but now with so many manga host sites around... well... I use a fansubs updates, but it'll be the loss of the forum that'll make me leave.

) just because it felt like a good choice...and it seemed like everybody was choosing yes....Lol

I would still come here even without the manga (which I don't read) and the fansub listings (as, sadly, I don't really watch much anime anymore....). I don't really come to this site as often as I used to, but when I do it's usually to the forum.

Lots of interesting people here, so really, that's the main reason I come back here nowadays (when I have the free time to do so).

For the lutz, I chose the second option~

I think lots of people know but I'll say it again. What attracted me to A-S was the banner on top. Ever since that specific Mai-Hime banner I kept coming to A-S just to see the banners. Afterwards I discovered manga, specifically Salad Day. Thus gave me more reason to come here. And then the in-depth reviews and spotlight brought me closer to the site. Convention reviews are cool although I tend to only look at the pics ..

Now I still come here for the same reasons except the manga as I'm not into manga as much as back then. Another reason because I, The Beautiful Innocent Guardian Angel, have impacted the lives of the crazy kids of A-S that if I were to disappeared for just one day there would be chaos and all the evil stuff and such.

I came here at first coz of the manga... looking for Ichigo 100%... then I stayed quite a while coz there were/are so many cool ppl here... then I had no net for a year...and nowadays, its just a great tool from procrastination mostly^^;;

I'll admit that the reason I found this site and the reason I visit it daily is for the fansub torrents. Granted, I could find these elsewhere, but anime-source provides articles, reviews etc, that makes this my primary viewing site for grabbing newly released fansubs. I never really read the manga here. I guess at one point I visited for the forums, but I feel like there generally isn't much discussion apart from perhaps the free for all thread that generally consists of conversation between regular members at the LTE. I probably would not visit AS regularly if the fansub updates were removed.

well, i just happen to found AS when searching for a forum.... and i just join in....

i think i did hv 1 or 2 virgin post waaay back in 2004...

its kinda nostalgic, reading my noob post...*manly tears*

I like this site because it's only as good as the members make it and i enjoy participating via reviews mostly. Ive known about this site for a long time before i joined and i only joined because i really wanted to write about a kick ass anime. I dont really post anything unless i come across something that interests me but i mostly just read reviews.

i used to visit this site for the downloads of fansubs but decided to scan the topics posted on the forums and later decided to join. Smile

the first time i visit this site is because of the manga scan of ichigo 100%
well that is before though
now days i just hang on the forum to talk (though it is been almost a year since i post anything in here lolz)
well overall anime-source will be my site to check on anime review+some screen shot before i use google
