Just saw Episode 1.
Sorry seems lame to me, but the action was really really good. i can't remember watching this type of quality animation for a while now. |

just watched episode one...
and I have no frickin clue as to what this show is about...
but good animation though...
that short fight sequence had great details...
aside from that it seems like a science-ish show... if it gets too technical for me I might be forced to drop it but for the sake of the animation and the urge to find out what the heck the story is about I will give it a few more eps.. _________________

I hope so too... but the show seems to be more of a brain scratcher than anything...
they really should start explaining things in the succeeding episodes... _________________

excellent production values, id like to say "as expected of production IG" however, that seal of quality was scratched by blood+ and chevalier...
anyways, 2 eps in, weve seen a lot of curvy characters and pantsu.. well knowing this is another masamune shirow work, theres more to it than that. there are some similies between other works, namely the 'cyber brain' concept seems to be the familiar item in this world.(on others its the use of 'landmates')
on ep1
am a bit surprised that the scientist guy, nearly having his arm ripped off didnt seem too affected by it =/ i mean sure theres this unimaginable thing happening around them but i would like to think that pain is a higher priority for the brain to take note of, id like to see him writhe even a little in pain after the testosterone has died out.. well if he had a cyber brain during that time i guess he could shut off some of his pain sensors or something but still..
ep2
a backtrack episode too soon? ok so we get to see the beggining from the girl's perspective.. but there certainly should be better ways to insert character background in the story, i mean theres this situation hangin from ep1 and we are made to sit thru the first minutes to see the girls history.. anyways at least they finished off the thing from ep1.
well im not exactly that interested in this series, however the addition of the fanservice prolly made this show a little less boring.. i wonder how much more of these explored, done already concepts would work under different situational plots. now we have a 'cyber diver' its not much different from one of Motoko Kusanagi's abilities. but i guess this old man+ cyber diver theme may yet work. but i agree they need to put out the explanations soon, its not like this is a get to know stuff as the thing goes on.. because we already have some of the masamune norms/lore, what really needs focus is the whole basis of this story, what this 'earth order' is, the natural ability to hear things? and while we have seen a 'fight scene', i kinda doubt that will be the genre/focus of this story.. well i guess they could insert some pirates here and there.. its the sea afterall.. but if anything, maybe something more like a scifi/discovery type show + disaster/accidents/impending doom. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |

I admit I've been enjoying this show so far. Its definitely a weird show. One moment its all action, the next we have a young girl who isn't the normal gorgeous girl, flashing her panties.
I definitely like the girls. Somehow the body styles make them look a little more real then if they were the typical perfect beauties. I agree by the way about how they developed the backstory on the girl. It did seem like a rather inappropriate place to put it, after leaving off from the action at the end of episode 1.
Ah well, I'm looking forward to more of this rather unique show. |

two episodes in and I somehow managed to get an idea of what they were babbling about...
but I think putting a back story for the second episode was not such a good move... I was alredy confused with what went on in the first and then we come to two where they put in a back story which didn't clarify anything at all...
nevertheless, I like this concept of the cyberworld... will continue to watch even if at the least to understand what is going on... _________________

there seems to be no ongoing plot in this show unless i'm completely missing something it seems more "slice of lifey" (made up adjective) but i am enjoying watching
I always noticed that the SG always looked like she was in the middle of "getting it on" when in VC. turns out she was and with Souta nonetheless

well it finished....has gotten very little attention here...or in the fansub community it seems....anyone keeping with the the releases? Think it's up to like episode 14 now?
seeing as its Shirow Masamune I was going to give it a go once it was fully released..animation looks decent.. |

Watched the first 3eps and still seemed sort of confused..
the whole net brain thing joining with cyber space as illustrates as a sea
the symbolism is what attraced me to this anime......and the awesome
opening and ending music to this anime.
Girl - headstrong yet tough
brother - annoying and once again built
main character - tought mind even in "the Metal" i think
very wierd but thatonly pulls me more into the anime so i can understand it more. |
