DEATH NOTE

I LOVE this manga, but unfortunately I am following the US release so the last chapter I read ended with the new girl with the death note walking down the street. I am dying to know what happens and it is taking all of my strength not to read this forum. Crying or Very sad

Hey True! Long time no see!!! How's school going?

Anyway, it kinda sucks you're not "up to date" on it, but this is a good manga and I'm glad you're enjoying it. If you want to download this manga you can go to www.stoptazmo.com but I guess that if you wanted to do that you'd have done it already.

Anyway, just to know where you're standing, which one do you like better so far? Kira or L? I know it is a cliche question but it is always good to ask.

Yea I am also up to vol 4 (following US release) so thank you for that link. I thouht they would have remove it from there. Well if I may answer your question I would say its a real tough decsion but I like L. Although Kira/Light is cool in an insane and demented way and has very good deducing skills I think L is just a little better because he is like one of those insane-ish geniuses and thats cooler. also he seems to have already get L as a high suspect and figured out that there was a fake Kira. Sure Light also knows this Kira is fake but thats because he is the real kira. I must ait though I like the girls style but i also thought this doesnt seem like Light. But i thought the power he had was changing him. guess not.

death note, the story abt a prodigy who picks up a book of an angel of death. what happens? more deaths to create a perfect world. its a really good manga series with great sensational drama in it, shows how cunning a prodigy can be to kill people without any suspected terms until one arrives to break the chain. its almost like a detective story, just that this time round the killer gets all the attention.

Yep, a killer who is very clever and I really don't know why people like him. I understand his tenacity and intelligence, I even admire those traits in him. but he's no less and no more than a terrorist. He's got some freak powers that the death note gives him but he's just that. A terrorist.

Oops, Near thinks he's so smart, but Kira has him outsmarted. Now he's pretty much ready to take Near down as soon as he makes hs move. Having Takada judge too is something that Near hasn't factored in and that gives Kira the winning edge. Having Misa captive is meaningless and it only served to give Kira a better understanding of him. I hate to say it, but Near is pretty much digging his grave and he doesn't know it. So after he dies we'll get mello again? something tells me that he will fail too. After seeing the next chapter I'm pretty sure that the manga will end with Kira's victory. Sucks but I think that it was pretty much L or Kira from the beginning and now that L is dead only Kira's objective will be achieved.

Very interesting chapters, these last two.
Not surprisingly, Light has seen through pretty much everything Near has done. I doubt Near has actually foreseen that in an "I knew you knew that I knew" kind of thing. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, but I honestly don't think it is the case. Near is pretty much screwed. I hate that Kira is getting it his way. Near was the last stop to him, and now it looks like everything will end along with his life.
