Most promising new series between March and May 2008.

New series that have started in 2008 Mar / Apr / May time period and where you have watched at least 3 episodes.

Tell us your picks as to which shows you die, die MUST watch when the sub is released and why.

For me it's got to be these two:

1) Allision to Lillia : There's something about it, how Allision just pulls you in with her rush forward to any adventure. I find the characters engaging and lovable and the interactions especially between Wil and Allision funny and at times adorable. In a way Allision reminds me of a cross between the main characters from Suzumiya Haruhi and Pumpkin Scissors and Wil something the long suffering friend . I've watched up to ep 5.

2) Library Wars : The 1st episode hooked me with it's premise of a clash between those who would guard what I read and those who would leave the decision of what I read up to me. I find the characters interesting and their interactions at times funny. It is also a plus that Production IG is helming this. Watched up to ep 4.

Not in order of preference

1. Code Geass R2 :
Having watched R1, one just have to continue to know the ending! Honestly, while it is true that some scenes were "recycled",the way they have done it in R2 felt different In fact, the eps ended of being more climatic than ever, beczo you (sort of)know what's going to happen, thus anticipate to see how the "old tricks" are going to work in the "new plight".

2. Soul Eater :
It's been a while since I've watched some good ol' shounen sries.
Yup, there are scenes that made me go "Hey! That's so Naruto/Bleach !" But then again, this IS after all shounen, cant expect deep plots
Nevertheless, a nice series. I like the groovy Halloween theme.
And the OP (Resonance by T.M Revolution) ! I loved it !

3. Vampire Knight
Seeing as how the usual mainstream Vampire themed are mainly shounen, concentrating mainly on fights and blood, this one's somewhat different, since it's more shoujo. Nice Gothic style music, bits of Romance... ...I like the way the story progress.

4. Toshokan Sensou (Library Wars)
Intrigued me mainly of it's politically inclined story line.

5. xxxHOLiC : Kei
I'm BIG fan of CLAMP's works, especially xxxHOLiC.

6. In anticipation : (Having read the light novel series and watched season1,I know i will love this)

Vampire Knight because it's hooked me in with suspence, humor and romance.

Amatsuki I've always liked the whole "kid trapped in a new world scenario" because there's so much that can be done with it.

I am new at this.

Thank you for post release dates(update) of Anime from July-Dec 2008. It is really helpful. But what about adult...yaoi and hentai for release also?

Also such shows tend to be OAV form and rarely go for 3 episodes in said period of time.

so I don't think any would apply to this thread even if site kept track.
