I am very happy I downloaded this anime and I plan on buying it on DVD when it comes to the US. I havent seen a good historical fantasy movie since Princess Mononoke.

This one was highly entertaining because of the fight scenes and the awesome dog, although the Chinese pronunciations made me cry in pain.
Plot wasn't particularly deep nor creative. Characters also weren't deep or heavily developed, although I definitely felt attached to them by the end of the movie. |

I was most definitely pleased with this movie. Watched it twice in one day-once in the morning, and a second time later at night with my roommate. She only watches studio ghibli films, but she said this was excellent.
Characters aren't really developed much though... and well, you'll see.
Will be buying the dvd as well. _________________

background music was a bit too western imo.. would preffer it to have been more traditionally inspired to better fit the style and atmosphere of a samurai movie, plus the track was playing repeatedly throughout the movie, by the climax it was already tiring.. they shldve made different renditions of it. _________________ [img:400:237:866f672f5a]http://www.geocities.com/bktabz/mari_boya.jpg[/img:866f672f5a] |
