I haven't lived a long life, but I've made observations in the life I've had so far. I've noticed, that men, on average, have better lives than women. My reasons for thinking this are
1. Testosterone is awesome. It develops muscles. Estrogen is lame. It gives women mood swings.
2. Men don't have their time of the month, or nine months for that matter. Life is fairly carefree for us.
3. Because men don't get pregnant, our yearly income is higher (I'm not sure on the specifics)
4. Every woman that hasn't given their nine months are at high risk of breast cancer, being a very high death factor among women, which is nonexistant among men.
5. Males are usually the protagonists and heroes of our favorite anime and books and movies and history and biblical texts.
6. Woman have had to deal with sexism since we were considered humans.
Course, I'd like to hear the women's side of things too.
despite wishing i could give up the whole 9 months and
regular meetings with the whole monthly cycle, i still think
being a chick is much better in general.
1. whatever pride you may have as a guy, face it, your penis
is hideous, i'm not gonna lie and you're just gonna have to accept
that a throbbing phallus just isn't attractive.
2. we handle pain better, i believe that's a known fact or something
but i'm not gonna go search that up.
3. we're more attractive. physically we just look better because
personally, i enjoyed sketching female nudes more than guys.
4. despite the pain, we've got the power to make babies. and

5. men get breast cancer too so isn't it better to actually have an
attractive rack and have the possiblity of cancer than be a man and
still get it?
6. through the decades it shows the amoung of perseverance
women have in order to fight for our rights rather than have the
whole "my penis is bigger than your penis therefore i'm better"
7. i believe nowadays there's actually more female graduates than
male graduates in universities and that's really throwing off the balance.
8. women on a general scale have a longer life span.
9. 2 chicks are hot, but 2 guys aren't
10. we manipulate men, what's more fun?
i don't know, these are trivial things to be proud of but hey, that's

my manileness has been spurred into action?
1. Women don't face equality in the workplace and generally have lower social standing than a man. Women have been fighting for their rights for almost a century and now it's kinda capped off.
2. Since moving to the workplace, women lifespans are actually lowering, most likely thought to be brought on by the excess stress of working.
3. Hair-loss. A balding man is seen as 'ya he's bald' but a balding chick is rather ugly. Oh and women are losing their hair when they grow old or something because of all the stuff they put in their hair; my barber told me herself.
4. Women are on the same level or more susceptible to manipulation than men are. It's more a human thing to be a control freak, but both sexes do their part.
5. No matter how ugly you may think the one-eye monster is, I think it's better to give than to receive. Think about it real dirty. Unless you like cleaning out guk...
6. Women are subject to more abuse, physical, mental and sexual.
7. Guys are just stronger. Well, we are... (flexes biceps miserably)
8. Male brains are made in such a way that we love to problem-solve (hence all the fix-it-all guys). Our brains get stimulated by chemical secretions and we feel happy after we solve problems, so we solve more problems, simply due to the fact that we actively look for problems to solve. It also explains why men have a higher likelihood of understanding math and sciences better than women because of the way our brains are wired. More men are capable of higher-level conceptual & critical thinking than women, as women tend to use strait memorization to solve problems while a man tries to understand the theory behind the problem (ever wonder why in grade school we're always like...'why does the forumla work that way?' instead of swallowing up 'just use the formula'). Women on the other hand are generally better at multitasking. And memorization. Which they never forget to rub in.
9. Women worry about their looks more than men. Why? You have more features. And no, not all women are primp and beautiful. So why work harder and get the same result as the guy who still looks ugly?
10. Cancer: Women get breast cancer, their boobies get removed. Part of their womenhood is gone. A man gets breast cancer, he's still got some reconciliation. A man gets testicular cancer and gets castrated. That sucks. Women have cervical cancer. That's worse. Women sexual organs are more complex and harder to fix.
11. Protective sex: The pill. Screws up women a lot. Men: Condom. And sometimes we just don't care either.

That's more human perseverance than strait-up women stamina. Men do that a plenty. Men put up with a whole lot of shit. And I resent the whole 'my penis is larger than your's' argument. We don't even compare penis size that often.

But so what? Who gives a rats-ass about all this? It's not going to prove or disprove which sex is superior because these qualities are not inherent in all men and women. Some can't even be quantified. ALL of it differs from individual to individual. Most of these points are based off of perspective and personal opinion. The way I see it, no sex is superior or inferior, all race is equal, and Canada is the best country in the world.

Having given much thought to it, I believe I'm happier to be a man, because I can better appreciate a woman's beauty. Women are more beautiful, but I think it would be harder for me to appreciate that if I'd been born one.
Also, having given much thought to it, the personality I have would be a bigger handicap when trying to attract men than it is trying to attract women... Or is that the other way around?(I need to repeat that experiment under more controlled conditions...)
So I guess the short version is... "I like being a guy because women are better?" _________________ The pen is mightier than the sword

hmmm... well, men's income has been traditionally higher since society began to form an economy. Most employers will use the pregnancy excuse to reduce a woman's salary, but lately, thanks to the families' rights movement, a lot of woman (and men) are getting maternity-leave as part of their employment contracts.

I don't know about that. Women are more emotional, so I figure they'd be less adept to pain.
It's kinda unfair to make a thread like this, strictly because there arent as many girls in the forums as there are boys to make solid contribution.
im just gonna lay down some points which ive experienced over the years personally:
(not leaning towards either male or female)
*females tend to spend more. i read on the news a few months back that women have more credit cards, are more likely to fall into debt and more women declare bankruptcy than men at a younger age.
the report said that women would rather spend $300 on a pair of jeans than buy groceries to feed themselves (single women living away from home). they also complained the most about the price of fuel and food, but when asked about the high price of clothing, they had no complaints.
also, women have a tendency to spend on impulse. men walk into a shopping centre knowing what they want to buy, and maybe pick up a few things of interest, taking maybe an hour or two tops at the mall. women on the other hand will know what they want to get, but will check every store along the way and after buying the item, and then they would go and buy more things at other stores. this is why i dont go shopping with girls because they stop at every store and buy something i only ever see them wear ONCE.
that is ofcourse not to say that all guys arent like that either, my two best friends just piss away their paycheques on TV's, games and other stuff.
*we males have bad habits, farting, picking our noses, feet on sofas, lying naked on the couch watching tv etc. doesnt mean women dont do it, its just rarely heard of.
i think its to do with the whole grace and etiquettes. whereas women are seen more as divine and refined, goddesses and mystical beings of beauty and thus such actions would never be associated with them.
but for guys we dont care. women for centuries have been taught how to properly act and behave and as someone mentioned before, it was a male-run society that instructed them how to do so. this ofcourse led to a breakdown in morals over the years and now men and women have more freedom. men however have taken it more to heart, doing what we feel and when we feel like it. whereas women too do these things, but just not as openly or willing as their counterparts.

but thing is, it happens. why the hell do people care about penis size

in gender, HOWEVER, due to the fact guys were raised to be macho
they're usually the ones that try and take it while chicks are raised

women fought for their rights, sure, but it's narrow minded not to consider the accomplishments of men for women and human rights as well. take a look at racial discrimination. that wasn't fought for only men or women; it was fought for everyone. men are every bit as persistent as women. take a look at the bill of human rights, drawn up by a MAN. martain luthur king, a MAN fighting for racial equality. Men have also supported the feminist movement; numerous philosophers, scholars, down to party members and even the women's husbands fought for women rights. men have just as much determination as women do.
unless you perceive men giving rights to women as a loss or lack of determination rather than acting upon realization that the system was unjust, there's no more cause for argument there. it's the same as racism: some people, from the dominant side, thought that what was going on was unfair and should be changed. then they changed it. it's a joint effort.
rape is totally a viable way for guys to get babies. nature does it all the time: the guy gets fed-up with the girl saying 'no' and decide to go for the wild romp. heck, it could be argued as a contributing factor as to why guys are built stronger than females, so that they can overpower them into submission.

you do realize that not a lot of mothers breast feed right?
they usually have more of a psychological issue with the woman
rather than a functional one. its hard to breast feed as the mother
has to watch their diet and some women are actually not suited to
breast feed. =]
and from what i know, they have vaccinations to prevent HPV, where
as there's no prevention for testicular cancer, only treatment. plus
there's still a chance to keep your fertility even if you have cervical
cancer if it's not too bad. so, i'd rather be a chick, have my vaccinations
instead of a guy with a:

depends actually. just like penis sizes, each woman's vaginal canal
varies. some may be around 6inches, where some can go up to 8.
not to mention it elongates when a woman is sexually aroused.
personally, i don't care much for penis size as i don't have to worry
about it =T. i don't believe in more = better. then again, i don't believe
that if you possess a 3 inch penis that being able to use it well will
make a difference. if you're overly small, you better have some skill
in other things =]

i never said that men didn't do anything, i'm just saying that they don't
have to fight for THEIR rights. sure MLK fought for racial equality, but
i'm talking about gender equality. you brought up a point as scholars
and such supporting feminist movements, true, but they're not the majority are they?
if it weren't for men in the first place suppressing woman, the whole
problem wouldn't even have to be fought for. it is because men suppressed
women's rights that women had to fight for them =T if they didn't it'd

Though one interesting thing to note is that the painting was "popular" becoz, according to many art historians, resembled that of a peeping tom peeping through keyholes, hence the circular canvas frame rather than usual rectangular frames, possibly the artist's tongue-in-cheek sort.
Well, muscle wise, Michelangelo loved muscles. Heck, his paintings of women were muscular too!
But honestly, since one can only be born with one gender, it's kinda...given...that..well, if Im born a guy I'll prefer being a guy and such...(I wont bring in issues of transgenders to complicate matters.)
I mean, come on, to be far, one has only experienced the life of one gender, how can one thus determined which is better among both?

Hmm although I do sorta add to the girls Vs boys number.
I, myself would find it much easier being male, being a chick requires so much effing effort, just maintaining an acceptable appearance/grooming requires a lot more than what guys have to do. Clothes, hair etc. Then there's the whole time of the month thing, as much fun as I have chucking tanty's at people and blaming it on the PMS (Pre/Post/Present Menstrual Syndrome) rather not want to deal with it. And it's socially acceptable to have hair on your face lmao (I've always thought, if I were ever a boy I'd grow sideburns). Pap smears every 2 years are no fun.
Sex is on the easy side too, orgasms are easy to reach, no complexity at all for fellas. Although orgasms on the female side are heaps better ^^
Although I agree with Spanky ~ penises can be pretty ugly ... than again I don't find the female counter-part that attractive either ... and getting knocked in the balls ~ isn't particularly fun.
But yes there is a vaccine for HPV availible now (Just got my first shot the other day ^^ ) and it seems any male living long enough in the future is bound to get prostate cancer, so I'll just have to take my chances with the breast cancer thing too.
Ah no one has brought this up yet. Males are much more susceptible to heart diseases, hypertension, heart attacks, atherosclerosis are a much greater risk for men. Oh also men aren't built to pull things, they can get hernia's much easier that way.
