Hey, Sears is having a sale on sledgehammers and you could... oh, I see you got things going well now. Okay, no problem I can return this and get some nails to hang those prints I've been wanting to, um, hang. _________________ [img:500:130:4c09194a46]http://www.absolutecollies.com/Manga/ClannadSignature001.jpg[/img:4c09194a46]

You can try the start-up repair or system restore, but I am not so sure whether your data will be salvaged....
If you do not want the data in your HDD or it has been transferred to another PC, then you can pick the 3rd option, which I feel will wipeout your whole HDD, OS and data. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

@Grover... haha, no need to spend money on a slegehammer... a drop off the Kagura Bridge outside my apartment will take care of that.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't going anywhere near the 3rd option... not until I tried some nifty coding tricks using the 4th option, but luckily the 2nd option did pan out in the end.
To stop the evil Update from coming back, the CS rep at Sony had me disable the Automatic Windows Updates. Oh well, no loss.. it's not like I trust what thet send me anymore anyway.
thanks for all the help, minna-san. The Cuteness is safe!!! _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
