Favorite anime? Well, if I'm trying to sound cool, hip and so totally not a trend follower and someone who likes something a bit left of centre, I'd say Baccano.
But if I was being honest: Death Note. It's just kinda boring liking Death Note. Everyone likes the bloody show. It's much cooler to say Baccano.
So yeah, Baccano is my favorite anime. |

Kemonozume is definitely in my top 10, but I don't think it makes my top 5.
In no specific order:
FLCL (if you didn't like it the first time, watch it 2 more times)
Cowboy Bebop (one of the all time classics; often imitated, never equaled)
Mushishi (probably the best artwork I've seen outside a Miyazaki)
Eureka 7 (I don't know why I like this anime so much, but I just do)
Texhnolyze (possibly the least appreciated GREAT anime ever- check it out) |

Forget about being cool, just like what you like. If you like Death Note, just say you like Death Note.
As for me it's hard to pick just one so...
1. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (when Haruhi talked about being at that baseball game, everything fell into place. It was like, 'Yes! Finally, someone knows what I've been feeling in my life and vocalized it in a beautiful and funny anime.')
2. Sailor Moon (Cheesy and old, but it's the first anime I ever watched. It will always have a special place in my heart and it's my ultimate 'comfort show.')
3. Azumanga Daioh (Simple, funny, and utterly hilarious.)
4. CLANNAD (This show transcends the visual novel/harem genre and I know I'll watch it for years to come.)
5. xxxHolic (There's something very haunting and beautiful about this series and watching Watanuki's development is interesting.) _________________

| Mahoraba - Heartful Days was awesome, but my ultimate for now is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I might change my mind after i've watched the rest of the Higurashi series. |

| The anime I love most is Hunter x Hunter. This anime made me fall love with anime and it is undouptly the best shonen battle anime. And It has best anime character ever Hisoka <---------------. But to be honest i liked more death note and haruhi but one anime that hasn't been mentioned is Serial Experimential Lain it's just awsome. Bit confusing but if u like surreal stuff like David Lyntch's movies or Donnie Darko type stuff make sure to check it out. |

Serial Experiments Lain is an excellent anime. If you enjoyed it then you might want to check out Texhnolyze which is by the same people and has some of the same surrealism and complexity. It's definitely a lot more violent, though. |

Thx for hint. I'll watch it. It's quite hard to find animes like Serial Experimental Lain. |
