| well, the other day i found a manga called A.I. LOVE YOU. its only one book that im aware of now, but it should continue on. the artist is the same guy that did love hina, "ken akamatsu." stoyline about a normal guy that all the sudden, his life changes by an A.I. program he created comes real. the intro is a lil bit weak, but the storyline is nice. Has anyone else read A.I. LOVE YOU? |

can't say I have read the entire thing (Which I think was like 8 or so tanks.... Could be wrong on that one.) but I have enjoyed what I did read.
You can tell that Akamatsu sensei was still fumbling around for a formula for his art and stories here. I wouldn't say it is bad but it sure does look bleak compaired to Love Hina or Negima. I guess Negima came out before I finished reading A.I. so I just ended up following Negima instead...
My biggest gripe though was with the whole "Ah My Goddess" formula that played out. Sure the characters themselves are a little different but in the end it is Bell, Urd and Skuld except they came from a computer.
As for the name, it is also refered to the original Japanese name of A.I. (Or "ai" that translates to from japanese as LOVE) ga tomaranai. WIth sort of a "Can't Stop the Love" thing going on there. |

| I think that there are two books of A.I. Love You in the U.S. And I agree that compared to Akamatsu's other works like Love Hina, it's really bleak. But for his first manga, I'm thinking that it's pretty okay, considering that he WAS an animator before becoming a manga artist and that he never drew manga before, just liked reading it. There have been lots of occurrences in other mangas that are like the three girls(ex: Guardian Angel Getten). |

| Even tho this was his first work, I thought it was kinda bad. I'm studying in Computer Programing, and found the "computer-talk" real funny, but beside that nothing really got my attention. |

| i started reading it, interested in seeing the progression of akamatsu ken's work from the beginning to where he's at now. his over the top style's definitely there, and it's funny to read some of his commentary about how his art won't look anything like it does for LH and Negima for a while. it's great they opted for his modern styled interpretations of his classic characters for the manga, although i know there's going to be some purists who would have wanted the original covers, maybe even the original title. being a former computer science major (that stuff's nearly impossible for me), it was funny reading stuff i was somewhat familiar with, while at the same time wondering how on earth someone could write something that complex using C. |

i believe there's 8, i don't remember exactly but Akamatsu mentioned this in vol1 of A.I. Love you. i hope this quote's accurate, i can check again later.
"You'll notice that the art is different in Love Hina vol1 than it is at vol14, the same with A.I. Love You vol1 and vol8."
again, i'm going on what i recall. |

Love this manga. People I know that dislike it say it's because it's "too similar to Ah my Goddess"... well, so what if it has a similar feel? Just means that if you liked that series, odds are you'll like this one too ^_^
Anywho, I'm a huge fan of these types'a mangas, and after reading the first 4 volumes of this one, I can say it hasn't let me down yet. |

total of 8 volumes, its weird how the covers are better than the art in the manga why cant ken akamatsu redo the entire series cuz he did that for the covers and no it doesnt really have a plot other than would hitoshi actually have a relationship with an AI. just think pinocchio female version |
