| hahha yesh a fellow manga activist! haha...i like the idea of how the ending and beginning paralleled too! im watching the anime now..t.he story...is like...way different...but its a pretty series so far! |

omg lol...i just finished watching the series....its pretty good :'(...i miss it already...maiiii =(....but yea i think its possible to say that...the anime series is possibly better than the manga...it really got me hanging there~ i dunno...wht do u guys think? manga or anime?? 2 diff. stories...but both are pretty good...  |

Hahah, I'm rather glad it was like that. I'm not a big Tate fan afterall....which is why I'm glad the anime didn't center around him xD

I agree with you. I liked the manga more than the anime. In the manga the protagonist fights but in anime he is just a wimpy loser. Also the center thing was not bad at all (it is more logical for some reason).
There is an interesting thing that i researched. Iit was Mai Hime series came in anime first and then it was adapted to manga (usually is the opposite).
Anyway, there seems to be a continuation. It is called Mai-Otome and sometimes called Mai-ZHime. I found 7 chapters already. I wonder if these series came in anime first too.
Edited: I just watched the first episode of Mai ZHime and realized that it is totally different from the manga. Just like Mai Hime. |

hmm? there's a continuation of mai-hime? maybe we'll see how the love triangle between tate,mai and natsuki develops and maybe he'll choose one of them eventually. how long has this manga/anime been out for?

| lol neoooo...this is a total seperate story now hahaha...go check it out on you-tube for mai otome...ppl say its better than mai-hime...some says its worst...but go check it out for urself...i personally think...they are both good in their own respective ways...heh i just can't wait to see maiii in this series XD...har har |

So there is a manga continuation of their story?Or at least a somewhat similar manga? Any idea where I can find it? Or is it just anime and no manga? |

lol. i am not very sure. it seems to be a sequence because everything that was in mai-hime can be found in mai-zhime. however, there is a posibility that it is just using the same plot and theme while it is a whole different story. they use many of the same character designs from mai-zhime like sakura card captor and tsubasa chronocicles.
actually, i find it pretty interesting and comedic. it seems that the anime is totally differerent from the manga. there is even a character that have different sex in anime and manga. (anime: girl, manga:boy) also, in manga - what i've seen so far is comedic drama but it watched one anime episode and it seemed so dramatic that it might make you cry?
the best teacher is the experience. go download it yourself and watch/read it.

It is even kinda sentimental in Anime but in manga - it is pure comedy. (usually it is the opposite). Anyway, it is good to read and watch the manga and anime. |

I'm guessing its not a sequel then....probly a spin-off.....
I heard its much more of a comidy too....compared to My-HiME.... |
