As the year is coming to an end, I've compiled a list of animes that are or were shown in 2004 that had more then 3500 views in this forum.
Which is the best anime of 2004?
Let the battle begin!
P/S: I had to trim the list down to fewer options as I could not enter the original list of 13 that fit the above criteria. |

Heh, I have to say that for all the possible detractions that Mai-HiME had on initial viewing ( seemingly fan-service oriented, Shounen action combat in Shounen style ala high-action Sailormoon, cliche student models, some under-utilised plot devices, some poorly scripted developments, etc ), it actually was able to make fun of itself and others.
The detractions were also countered with good animation, catchy music, nice character designs, very funny humour pieces, an interesting story so far, etc
In fact, this is the show of the year 2004 for me in terms of entertainment. It is so hard to choose who is the outstanding female character in there, Midori the sentai otaku or Mai ( I still fail to understand why her character design is appealing to me )
Hope Sunrise does not drop the ball with this one. |

I sooo hear you.
This show is really addictive once it gets going. As a result it's the only show that I download the raw even though I don't understand a single word . Right now I very badly want to watch episode 14 after seeing the preview! |

Hmm this is difficult. Samurai 7 is good but I think Samurai Champloo might be better, while on the same hand Mai-Hime is good but I religiously watch Naruto. :dunno: this is hard. |

If i should choose 1 from the list i would be Samurai Champloo, but still theres FMA (Started 2003 but aired most of 2004), and school rumble who tops my list of best animes this year |

Kannaduki no Miko was interesting in the end. It was just getting there that was sucky.
But I voted Bleach, Naruto's good, but its not really 2004 anime since its been running beforehand...
Mai-hime has promise, and well, Natsuki is hot. |

Well in the voting, ill choose Naruto or Elfen Lied. Ichigo 100% has a manga?! hmm i never seen any of them
The anime I want to point is One Piece. It has a unique story line, superb battle scenes but you will say that the animation is quite crappy or childish however inside that junk armor you will see that every character in the anime has a deep and inspirational story. Its not always the looks, you must see the real gist of this anime to completely embrace it though. PEACE OUT! _________________ [img:245:171:663a141d03]http://cards.pokecharms.com/create/bec8d2597c782f32ee7cbcceaf64cae5.png[/img:663a141d03] |
