Episode 45:
So Suk is now a fugitive!
Is it me or does the fake Nina now look more like Johan then the real Nina?
Wonder why Grimmer felt sick when he heard the tape? Think his reaction was way too strong for it to be just the tape.
I wish they would just let us listen to what is on the tape once and for all! Argh! The wait is killing me!

It must be me and you, as I thought exactly the same thing about Johan, it's almost as though because we know it's him and not Nina now, they purposely made Johan look like Johan in drag!!
The reason for Grimmers reaction to the tape (and this is only my theory!!) is because from the minute we met him in the story, I thought he was from 511 Kinderheim and he is having flashbacks, hence the ventilation propeller vision!! |

Wow! Spot on Caireen, you're deduction is right as revealed in episode 47.
Wonder if everyone will bump into one another now at the same time? |

Having now watched up to episode 47 myself! One or two questions have popped into my head!
The main one being this;
| Quote: |
as we now know Grimmer is definitely from 511 Kinderheim, you realise what those poor kids must have gone through whilst there. What freaked me out the most was when Grimmer remembered that boy Adolf something, he talked about getting your friend to remember you, as they were being brainwashed to forget everything. I'd love to know who it is that has Grimmers memories and if that boy is still alive?! Grimmer must be in his late 30's?! and I have been trying to think if there is anyone else of the same age that could be another survivor of 511 Kinderheim!!
The other question is, has Grimmer met Nina & Johan before?! He seemed to react badly on those 2 occassions he saw Johan as Nina. Maybe he knew their father? |

It would be interesting to know who holds Grimmer's childhood memories. Perhaps it's Adolf, since Grimmer has his, maybe they exchange memories? If we do find out who holds his memories, I hoipe the writers let us know more about Grimmer. He is such an interesting character.
Grimmer has not meet the real Nina and Johan before.
He has seen a Anna (Johan as Nina) and it always indicates a murder. Not a good omen. So it is probably why he reacts that way. Also by being able to prove Anna was there at the murder scene Grimmer would no longer be a suspect for the murders.
What I find interesting is that Nina and Johan had been reading the story book way before Johan was placed in K511. What were they being experimented on and why is the story so terrifying to both of them?

| This is what makes me wonder if Nina and Johan know Grimmer from old, or whether their mother did! The story obviously has some connection with pre 511 Kinderheim days, and I can't wait to find out what!! |
Believe it or not but I have heard the fairy tale in Monster before, years ago when I was little! |

I don't believe you. I think that book is especially made for manga/anime. Show me some proof! |

Do you remember the name of the fairy tale or book as I might want to get it. |

It's a real Czechoslovakian (sp?) fairy tale!! and I'm not in the habit of making things up!! It was animated in Czechoslovakia years ago and very badly dubbed into English and I saw it on TV at some point when I was 8 or 9 (I'm 38, so it was a long time ago ). |

Episode 48 gives the name of the book as The Monster Without a Name / The Nameless Monster by Emil Scherbe.
Did a search for it via goggle but came up empty. Anyone has any leads on it? |

Don't forget, there was the mention of numerous pen names. I have spent hours searching for Czech fairy tales and have come up with many similar strange tales but not the exact one! (The freakiest I found was one about a couple who desperately want a baby and make one from a tree and the baby turns into a monster and eats everyone!! It's just been made into a movie as well!!). I seem to remember a puppet show type animation, this is how a lot of Czech fairy tales are done! Anyway, trying to remember exact details of what I saw 30 years ago, is pretty hard
Regarding ep. 48 of the anime.

My thoughts are running towards Johan and Anna's mother having something to do with the author of the tale, maybe he's their Dad?!! It's seems a little strange that Lunge found those sketches by said author and they are obviously drawings of Johan, Nina and their mother!! This is getting more and more intriguing all the time.
I wonder what Johan's intentions were by recording over most of the cassette tape but leaving the snippet about being scared of forgetting about Anna/Nina. The other 511 Kinderheim kids were worried about losing their own memories. |

Thanks Caireen for trying. I've searched under the under pen name mentioned but was not successful either.
Same taught as you, that the author is the Dad.
Wonder why Johan didn't just take the tape or replace it with a fake one? I understand that the way he did it is more interesting story wise but isn't he giving information away?
Darn! We will never get to hear what was on that tape now!

tenma and johan sister wants to kill johan and both has training to kill. but when johan is leaving messages that the monster is getting big and that he wants to die. It is evident that he has a split personality but what is going on.
