Is it? I didn't notice that they are any different..  I watched the manga first then the anime and to me they are the same.
I kinda hope that Ranma and Genma would perform the harakiri

| well.... you can see the diffrented at the story line.... don't you think that some part of the story that have at the anime is not at the manga?? and some of the story that in the manga not in the anime?? i have fin it quite a lot of part is missing... |

Oh, i thought you said the character Ranma in manga has different personality with the one in anime..
Well, the anime does have some extra scenes but their purpose was to drag the anime longer, i think.

Ranma and Akane "tried" to get married but things just didn't work out. And he's still a transvestite.

| there is no closure in rumiko takahashi's work (ranma 1/2, inuyasha). so if you ask for an ending it'll be something like: "well, you know the series is over, but nothing really happened." it's just her style to leave the endings very open. |

This would be great if she intends on doing a sequel..

please tell me, what did she turn into??

In the manga, I think she got dried up into a doll or something. Been a long time since I read it. |

Ranma 1/2 is my first Anime, and therefore has nostalgic values for me.
Although the anime is one of the funniest I've ever seen, the manga is much better. The anime doesn't come close to the brilliance of the manga.
