Depends totally on the degree of opposites.
I've mostly hung around with gals that share my interests, and it's a lot easier to get something going and having fun, but it usually doesn't last (but that's usual to all my relationships)

Opposites are intriguing since you usually get a wilder relationship, but my experience of that is that if you don't grow fond of her different opinions and hobbies, you're going to break up.

So all in all you gotta find someone who shares your opinions and at the same time has their own. Not too alike and not too different. Catch my drift?

But that's one opinion out of 8 billion. Razz

Err...for example you are funny, peacemaker but you love a person the opposite- like violent, careless and warfreak, will it work out??
Or will two person with both personalities and likes are the same more likely to develop?

for what you said in the name of the thread, my opinion will go for opposites attract. my wife and i have been together for almost 3 years and we are exact opposites.

although through time each rub off on eachother; i was the optomists and she was the realist. being with eachother we have came to a nutral belief in our decision.

honestly i dont know if i can handle someone that would be like me thats the opposite sex. plus i dont know if my relationship with that person would really last.

well there is a minor detail of my belief in relationships.

well personally, i find it more interesting when i'm dating some1 opposite from myself (personality-wise). It's nice to share qualities with another that u have in common....but it's also fun to discover new ppl and learn about them. i mean y date some1 who is sooo much like urself? how boring....... so i believe that it's better to date some1 opp. but not TOTALLY opp. cuz then that would just be contoversy.

Well, yeah opposites do attract, but I mean it could be opposite personality or opposite opinion. I think that people who have an opposite opinion than me is someone worth being interested in.

Some opposites of a person attract, but not COMPLETE opposites or the vital opposites. Like if i'm smart and they're dumb, that definately does not attract. But if they have different interests then mine, then sometimes it can attract.

hmm
i have yet to find a guy who's similar to me.. (... seems a bit odd now that i put it that way...)
but
opposite..?
my patience wears thin after a while... -__-..

well oposite is good but i prefer if i share a bit some same opinion expecially for smoking since i hate smoking!
