Anime Couples: Arima and Miyazawa (His and Her Circumstances) Inuyasha & Kagome (Inuyasha) [there's more that I like Smile

)
Rivals: Vicious and Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop) Saitou Hajime and Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin)
Pets: I don't know the name of the Cat in Tenchi Muyo; Kirara (Inuyasha)

I'm gonna have to agree to a tie between InuYasha and Kagome vs. Viscious and Spike... Although, now that I think about it, I think the best is the love triangle between (I can't remember any of their names) in Escaflowne.
