the live action was made before the anime series, was made in 1997. so it is orignal and it was such a big hit that it became an anime

The anime for sure, watching real people do these things is downright silly, more so with brutal japanese overacting.

wasn't the manga before the live action? i actually have no background information on this, somebody who replies in this thread in the future would have to provide that.

but to my understanding, manga would logically have to be before the live action, because the author got the award for his manga before the live tv series launched. and since the anime is based on the manga on a more detailed scale in similarity than it did the live action, i'd have to say that the anime can be better enjoyed. true, some things you just can't expect to see with people.

however, i admit that live action does have an appeal of its own, and to me, both are great. i'm only comparing the enjoyable factor based on the humour and drama, so if anyone wants to come up with a rebuttal not based on humour and drama, don't direct towards me, lol.

everytime I see more than 2 emoticons, my opinion of the person decreases not that it matters anyways but...

The GTO anime was good until it screwed up with Onizuka at the end, yes What the Fuck is that indeed.

The GTO live action however had the sillyness of Japanese people doing stupid ass things. Its almost like SpikeTV making fun of Japanese culture until there is nothing more. Though the live action was made with near seemly serious intent, I just think that GTO is too unrealistic to be suited for a live action. I mean the guy lands on a car and fake car accidents so much it is like a way of life for him. So I believe Anime is better because it is just so much more suited for GTO

The anime always wins as it's the only one that can exactly match the manga....hehehe...

both are good in their own sense...

animes: u will have fanservice, and deeper storyline, they have Kanzaki in there (all hell breaks loose), follows the manga through, except at the end i think...

live action: doesnt go much in depth towards storyline, a SERIOUS Murai, no Kanzaki... but more emotion, and more heart-wrenching (esp with the ep with Miyabi's two closest friends) Sorimachi (I believe the name of the actor is) played Onizuka superbly... nice OP (Poison)

so both are equally good..., to me
