the manga is messy but good... but i wonder how far has the story went? i can't get hold of the manga anymore... anyone knows where to get the manga?

TOKYOPOP licensed the manga so it's pointless now, the only way to obtain it from the internet is illegal and it's more difficult than obtaining the anime which is also licensed.

Themanga went on for a while, having twenty plus volumes. Tokyopop currrently has volume 6 out which is in the middle of the Infinity fortress arc. Ban was pretty cool in this one. I can't wait to see his power explored more.

Advice: Don't try to read the manga if you already watched the series. The image I had on getbackers after watching the anime is gone after I read the manga. Same thing for my cousins who read it. =P

I bought volumes 4 and 5 of getbackers(yes yes I'll buy 1-3 whenever I see them) and by the end of volume 5 they were JUST getting in to the first Infinite Castle arc... only 6 volumes are out and I think volume 7 is set to be released on feb. 8th or somewhere around there. The main problem I have is Tokyopop is releasing it a volume every 2 months... that means if you were planning on collecting it so you could see an actual good ending you will have to wait... a long long time. 6 Volumes a year *shudders*... by the end of this year I'm guessing it won't even be on the second infinite castle arc yet... bah oh well from what I read it's pretty darn cool... just try to dl it for now though Razz

cause the volumes that are released are exactly the same as the series.

well i havent read the manga, but for love hina, i watched the anime then read the manga and didn't relaly change anything but maybe t is for this manga

Anyhow, I wasn't aware that they had an anime series for the getbackers, but from how you guys are talking so vaugely, I can't gather if it's any good or not.

Also, I have up to volume 5 of the manga (As released by tokyopop) and I like it a whole lot. I too hate the fact that tokyopop releases 1 volume every 2 months, I've been collecting GTO, Kare Kano, Rave Master, and Priest for quite a while now. If I could read japanese/korean I would have just bought all the volumes super cheap online and read em like that!

Watched the anime series for GetBackers and I think it s pretty cool. The drawing s quite nice too .. Worth watching!
