hi dearherene. i'm from malaysia too. just bought vol 31 last tuesday. my fav is ginji (though he's kinda dumb) and kazuki. he's too pretty to be a man, but liked him anyway although at first its hard to imagine him as one.
really love the scene when the honky tonk owner saved ginji's n ban's butts. so kazuki had the same eyes as ban's dad. been wondering what makes him the ''putera gementar".

Mm this series was not great in my book =/
The drawings were awesome, and characters radiating with coolness, but something was missing. The fighting scenes weren't particularly impressive, I mean mostly it was "two people, one disappears, another disappears, appear and clash, repeat cycle" didn't show very much at all when it came to Mido. Ginji's fights were all right but my favorite by far was Doctor Jackal lol, he's so funny and crazy creepy..
What ticked me off the most was their trump cards. They kept mentioning it lol, and the best one in the series wasn't even something flashy, evil eye?? I mean cmon if it were destructive that'd been a lot cooler imho.

Those are fair exceptions. One however I find popping up alot if the flash falsh and some one's dead style of fighting. It's funny because real like fighting is like that. Not in fisticuffs but when a weapon is involved, if youaren't paying absolute attention with a trained eye, is easy to miss what happened other then someone just got run through. Now lets take it to the crazy super human level in GetBackers and it's even harder. Granted it could also be blamed on a lazy mangaka too  |

T_T i did bought vol 31..... but i miss 6 volumes!!!!!!!! i don't know why there is no "get backers" at the bookstore near my home "my english sux" kakaka.
yes!!! GINJI kun~~~ he so cute in his cute version!!! its like those teddy bear doll!!!!!hahahah. |

| Ive read up to volume 12 and such a good manga ^^. I especially love those times when Akabane and Ginji are together lol. They make a great comedy team. Ban Mido is cool and really strong, I think his snakebite is a cooler tech than his evil eye. |

| I've seen the anime. Its pretty good. Haven't read the manga though. So, is it any good...the manga I mean. Any differences between the manga and anime or did the anime stick to the original plot in the manga? |

I'd have to say that the anime is quite good but I only read up to chap 15 of the manga.
My opinion of it right now is that it hasn't quite caught up to the quality of the anime yet but I'm hoping since I'm quite a big fan of get backers!. Hearing that the drawing gets better and the fact that it would clear some holes up in the ending and the backgrounds of midou and ginji. |

In THAILAND this series go thru 33 volume and still going on i just wait for series to complete and the i'll start read it again from volume 1
this series is fun althought is look little mess sometimes |

| Wow, 33 and still going! Thats a lot of books. Guess we should expect appropriate number of episodes in anime too then. It will probably be one of the longer series on tv then. |

I've only seen the anime too. I thought the anime was done really well, the animation and everything. If the manga drawings aren't as nice, I'll be really disappointed. |
