GET BACKERS anyone??

I agree that the TV series is worth watching. No spoilers but the ending was kind of disapointing.. I'm going to start collecting the manga cuz it'll probably go a lot more indepth and have a ton more humour.. come on it's 26 or 27 volumes .. how can it not be indepth and detailed?
The art does look slightly crappy compared to the wonderful art in the anime for the first few books but I think once it hits book 7 and 8 it looks a lot better

Yea-I haven't seen the ending (DONT SPOIL IT FOR ME) to it but THe manga is REALLY long.....longer than Inuyahsa at the moment....
THe artwork TOTALLY sucks though.....THEY RUINED MY BAN!

i think this manga is pretty cool.. although i only managed to watch 2 episodes on hub tv preview channel..

Get Backers is one of my favorite animes. <3 It's totally worth watching. I've only read the first 2 volumes of the manga, and it's pretty good too. :3 The art style gets alittle better as it goes on(I've looked through later volumes)...so don't fret about it. I actually don't mind it.

Actually, I posted six months ago which is like one of the last three posts and I completely changed my mind about the manga. Quanity does not equal quality! Ergg.. I only read the first two volumes licensed by Tokyopop but in comparison with the first few episodes it was extremely disappointing. I don't often say that an anime is better than a manga (because usually the opposite is true) but.. they ruin it with too much fan service. Like a flash of boobs or something isn't so bad every now and than but it's like such a constant throughout the series.

Buut.. I'm a girl so maybe we should get some male perspectives.

ok so im up to date on my get backers well as far as tokyo pops us release. ya i buy all my mangas. i really enjoy this series, couldnt put it down. now waiting for vol 11 to come out. as for the anime, its ok i enjoy the manga more though. anyway just my 2 cents

i'm a big fan of this manga, and i must say i don't really like the anime, i think the manga is much better. so far i've collected up to volume 28. the artwork(it's really nice actually) definitely improved from the first few volumes so people might want to judge it after reading further than the first few, as the first few was rather lame...

Most likely not, english volumes aren't past 10 or 11.. I think.. but it's roughly there. Or at least that's how far Tokyopop has gotten

generally i prefer the manga...unlike the anime,it goes into a different story line (not to much) and the ending was not good enough for me...but if u havent watch but read the manga...i would say go ahead...they still do have the funny elements and nice fight scene Razz

i was thinking on getting alive the scanlations of getbackers however we are currently doing rave but if there is no one doing this manga i will keep this in mind and any extra help to begin doing this one just contact me by pm.

I think the manga is pretty interesting...although ive only read upto chap 15 ........ is the anime drastically different???

Get Backers has the coolest drawings I have ever seen..... it's very modern and very new...

I've read the manga version until 11 ~_~

But as most people in Asia knows, the chinese version is at 20 plus ~_~

Still a long ways to go for me........
Though I really would like to see a fight between Ban Mido & Ginji Amano or Ban & The Jackal or The Jackal & Ginji or a three way fight ^__^

Either way, the fight scenes are cool!!
And the way how they were trying to get I think 100 yen was funny! XD

I think it's near impossible to find the series online now ~_~
Sigh.... oh well, off to a bookstore I go to read it for FREE anyway.... XD
