What's your favourite console?

Simple question... what's your fave console... my favourite is Gamecube... the reason I like it is because I like the games. Sure it doesn't have selection like the other consoles but I'm not much of a gamer and Gamecube offers enough games that I would ever need to play. I also don't buy into the 'kiddy' games suck mentality that tons of gamers seem to get themselves in to and end up missing out on good games like mario kart or smash brothers(unless of course you think those games suck then bleh hehe).

personally, iv been a nintendo fanboy since super mario world2. Id hav to say the N64 is my favorite console. no doubt it was a bit awkward, but i jst have too many memories smacking up on my friends at late nite parties, whether it be Star Fox 64, Super Smash Bros. or Goldeneye 007.

My favorite console is the Snes. There were just so many games that were awesome. Must be the console that had me playing for the longest time.

But if we consider the more recent consoles, i guess i'd say the Gamecube is my favorite. I was never disappointed with a game i bought or rented for the cube, which is not the case for ps2, and i don't even want to talk about the Xbox (don't own one and never will, i just don't like it for multiple reasons).

I would have to say the Dreamcast is my favorite console. The Dreamcast for its time was the baddest machine around. The first machine to have online play, the first machine that could actually handle the 1 million ploygon monster called VF 3. When the scene broke out and the Dreamcast was hacked it became ever better, How many consoles you know that can run FreeBSD/Linux and run emulation programs that were orginally written for the PC? Yes the Dreamcast with its Hitachi SH-4 and PowerVR 2 graphics chip was one of the best machines ever built. It's ashame that Sega ultimatly sunk and they abondanded their HW buisness.

SCR wasn't the SNES the first to go online (I could be wrong though)

I'll have to agree on the SNES bit.Def had the best quality games out of all that i've played yet. Remember the pilotwings eh? or how bout that starfox and super metroid. Woot

Mikueru-chan, maybe you're thinking of the games distributed with satelite dishes in japan.

If you're not, then maybe i haven't heard about the snes being online (in the US and Canada at least).

ZoX, not to mention all those great RPGs (Chrono trigger, FF6, Breath of fire, etc.)

currently owning almost every system out there my favorite would be dreamcast and you know why macer haha but snes comes to a close second with all those amazing games with games like ff mystical quest, ff3, chronotrigger, etc...

i rarely got to play dreamcast, since well.. it was pretty unpopular here and sorta disapeared. Besides DOA ( Cool

) and worms armaggedon (which roxorz) i didnt play anything else.

Well now a days we're getting into playing online games on the consoles. That just kills the whole console thing to me. Just get a comp and do ur thing. Consoles are for RPGs like FF, Fighting games (street fighter, soul calibur), and racing ( grand tourismo baby!)

SNES, N64.

By God, I have so many great memories with those systems that I've been out hunting for them and all the games I used to play. I currently have an SNES, but the games are hard to find.

Lost Vikings. Great Game. Coolspot, loved it.

But... greatest game of all time, for EVERY system out there is Harvest Moon. I'm a fanboy through and through and through and through.

Snes and and ps1, snes for having the best games and ps1 for arcade experience at home.
