World of Warcraft GM abuse?

I was thinking about playing WoW, but some unnerving things seem to be happening and I've been trying to figure it all out.

It seems that a guildleader posted on his guild's website that he's an employee of Blizzard (the developers). Supposedly, this clan celebrates in causing everyone else grief and seems to do many unfair things in the game by using the leader's position. Somebody posted on the forums about this, but it got deleted without warning and he was banned from the forums. After that, others have called Blizzard on this through threads and have seemed to have gotten the same treatment. These bans seem to fall under the rule of not exposing personal info, but a lot of these were just a kind of "what's going on here?" atmosphere.

That's all I've gathered so far. So, is it a conspiracy or am I, and many others, reading into this too much? I know this kind of stuff happens occasionaly, but I thought it would be interesting to share it with you all.

i havent come across anything like that and if thats the case it cant run arcross all the servers. it is an incredible and addicting game i love it

I'm on the Deathwing server, and we haven't had any trouble like that. (As far as I know) The only problem that i know that we had with GM's, is that in the beginning they were taking as much as a week to respond to open tickets about bugs. I don't have a problem with it other than, blizz knew there were going to be loads of bugs on launch and should have planned on having a few extra GM's on each server.

as for the cost You can buy the plain game for 50$ US, or 80$ US depending on whether or not you want the collectors edition. Then with that you get 30 days free, (You have to open account with a credit card or game card) and then 15$/month after that (it gets cheaper if you subscribe for more than one month at a time)

To me its worth it. Alot of people hate paying subscriptions for games, but I'm willing to. Most people that play alot of games don't realize that they are get done with a game, in less than a months time, and go get a new one to play. First off, with a game like WoW it takes alot more than amonth to do everything. You have a game that takes alot of time. (And it doesn't get borring as long as you keep trying new things.) My past experience with MMORPG's has shown me that i will get atleast a year, if not more, out of each title. And by then expansions are out, adding to the amount of time you can keep going. so really i spend 50$ on a game like this initially, and then only pay 15$ a month after that for about a year. Where as if i was playing other games, I would be spending 50$ every 3-4 weeks. (I realize that some old titles are cheaper, and can be played for endless hours, but eventually you move on to other games. So the price is that of a new game, approx 50$.)

i have not come across any GM abuse as of yet. WoW is really fun if you have friends to play it with, and sumtimes if you dont its fun anyway. the only problem i have with WoW is that the server i play on goes down so much lately. kinda makes me feel like im wasting my money =\

You're not the only one, PA commented on that as well. How often are you actually able to get on the server with a decent connection?

Some mmorpg really do suck because of GM abuse but its not very often.
Had a last name first then some GM told me someone else has it ?
But you can't create a last name if someone already has it but they removed it anyways.
Few days later that same GM had my last name Shocked

in Everquest Uno they deemed me a deviant and evil but this is my GM friend and she told me to stop hanging around GM boxes.

besides that point, i never heard of having the same lastname of any character is against any rule. i saw like 10 <blah blah> IronWoods

Nope, haven't had any issues with GM's in my play time. One of my friend's bro is a GM though, and the only thing that has happened to me is I got randomly tossed really high in the air when i was sitting around in town once.

That GM told me I can't make that last name cuase its already taken.
Having a GM friend doesn't make all GM fine and dandy.
Then my last name was taken off then he had the last name latter.
Yes get out of the box and pay attention.
