Xenosaga the Animation

The anime is awesome. It is not the same as the game, but I do not mind.

I think the game has more story than the gameplay itself.

Am I the only one not impressed by this show? The game is good, but there were too many nagging details in the anime that started to ruin the show for me. Little items, I suppose, that might slip past the uninitiated, but just when things would get interesting they would do something silly that left me flat. I really like Shion but she's not enough to keep me interested.

Ignorant of the game, the show has been an okay watch. The pacing is rushed and too many things thrown at you as simply events that you must accept for the story to be continued. Most of it involving acronyms. The graphics are definitely inconsistent, mostly mismatching.

Personally I am watching for KOS-MOS instead Razz

I must say that this show is alright for anime made out of a game; although, there is also the case with Gungrave. Anyways, question: I'm not sure if is it my eyes or my computer, but does any body else think that there's something wrong with their noses? Or maybe I'm taking too much notice to that one detail Rolling Eyes

I think the anime's fine but is too rushed in my perspective...
Having played the game I was a bit disappointed the way the anime was presented and sadly I think the inGame clips and movie cinematics told the story better and more impressively than the anime, too bad though It would have gone better if they made the series a bit longer and not rushed it...

I dont dislike the show though theres much better stuff out there and it is crap compared to the game but I think its most problably because of the bad animation, different ost and the too rushed story.
I`d give it a 6/10

I played Xenosaga so when I starting watching the show I get very bored. I saw the first 8 eps and everything was very close to the game. Do they deviate at all?

Or maybe this is good for people who want to play Xenosaga 2, but don't want to play the first one.

The plot its a bit too dense and it seems too hard to understand for those who dont know anything about xenosaga/xenogears

I think there will be season 2 of of Xenosaga (that will explain why there are plenty of character from Xenosaga II game appear)

looks good but i hope that the anime is good and does justice to the games. i like the games and hope it follows the story

Yeah, I finished watching everything and they really droped the ball about half way thought with the story. It was amusing, but they skipped so much information, rushed through so many elements, and didn't explain a lot of the esential concepts of the game. Plus episode nine was kind of stupid.

Overall, a nice attempt, but you can clearly see a lack of proper planning, and an effort to jam a 24+ series story into 12 episodes. Not really worth watching again sadly.

i think the ps2 version game is more intresting becasue in a way if u ahve played the game before u can tell whats gonna happen on the story..
the game i think was out about 2-3 years ago. i stopped towards the end becasue the boss was just too tough.. then a few months ago.. the Xenosaga episode 2 game came out.. Its kinda turn off becasue i think the story is jsut like the suikoden 1 2 3 series where u need to load ur data from the previous game and it revels a secret.. i didnt play second episode but I might play just to know the story of the second season.
