Well again the novels take a more serious turn, altho there is car chases, mech fights, nude battles,... makes no mention of bonta-kun...

It'll be more serious like the first season... though being FMP you'll get your laughs in there as well.

I hope it'll be a good storyline. Somehow, I found the story in the first FMP! a bit lacking, leaving a lot of unanswered questions. Hopefully, this third season will clarify things. Although I wouldn't mind another Fumoffu like season.

Awwwwww, please guys, this news is already make known to the public since last year. I heard that(don't know this is true or not) the battle will be shifted to space. This is just a rumour though, we should not put high hopes into it.

Well, I hope that the third season won't be as craptacular as the first one... What gives me hope is that it will be done by the people who made FMPF, not FMP.

It was mentioned earlier but the new season is suppose to be off the END OF DAY BY DAY novels. They start off where the first season ends. You can read them at http://www.boku-tachi.net/

If you read them, the characters don't go into space at all so I believe thats just a rumor.

Its still unknown whether they will be like the FMP or FMPF, however do to the serious nature of the storylines and the plots, i guess the new season will take more of a serious attitude as well.

And the books do clarify all the questions from the first season...

It will probably be that the bad guy from the frist season didn't really die, that he escaped from the mech but was badly hurt from the explosion.

Well, if it follows the novels, this third season should be pretty interesting. I don't think there will be too many funny parts since I don't really remember too many in the novels. Although, I've only read the first two novels since they are the only ones being translated so far...
