| Samsung SM192N 19ins TFT monitor for $300 is quite good, there are plenty of other good tft moniters aswell. CRT monitors are better for gaming though, better refresh rates. |

| Philips 109E50 is a decent 19 inch CRT monitor and costs $120-130. The choice is yours, tft and crt monitors are both good. If you are a hardcore gamer, your better off with a crt monitor but if you want a good all rounder, that you surf the net, play games, read ebooks and other stuff then i recommend a tft monitor. tft monitors are only $80 more and more stylish and take up less space. |

High response (by High I mean the lowest number possible) time are good for games & for watching DVD/animes
so if you're watching a lot of anime, I suggest you get either a good 19" with at least 16ms or a 17" with 8ms, most of those screen offer a max resolution of 1280x1024, btw refresh rates got nothing to do with response time (the 8&16ms stuff) because of the way lcd screen works
If you have a low budget I suggest you look for 17" screen with high response time (minimum 25ms, get the 8ms if you can afford it).
If you read the reviews I posted you should be aware that a screen with a high contrast (over 450:1) & good viewing angle are what you should consider buying first. |
