love hina is a classic everyone should read

ichigo 100% is a good attempt, other than these 2, not really into romance manga

maison ikkoku is one of the best for shounen romance, a true classic (not a harem and no fanservice, strictly romance at its finest). this really set the standard for romance manags. i would reccomend this to anyone.

other notable ones would be I''s, love hina, ichigo 100%, parallel, pastel, kimagure orange road

I think the best that all the mangas like I''s, ichigo 100%, Video Girl,etc are the best, they are funny, very passionate and most of all nice ladies..

-Love Hina duh
-Ichigo100%
-II's
-Kare Kano
-theres a new one i just found in the store called Train Man thats really great too. def. worth a look.
-Fruits basket

-Maison Ikkoku, Touch, Ranma 1/2, H2, and fuushigi Yuugi are good for oldschool more traditional series'

-If youre into action/romance then 3 x 3 eyes, Escaflowne, Tsubasa chronicle, or even Berserk or Basalisk have fairly strong romantic plots.

-For a fantastic tragic romance series go for Saikano. It's aweful anddepressing at times, but a beautiful story.

my only problem with II's/Video Girl AI/DNA2 is that once youve read one youve read them all pretty much, they all follow really similar stories with similar looking characters with similar personalities. thats just me though.

and i cant stress this enough, whether it be the manga or the anime Honey & Clover has taken a spot in my top 3 romance series ever. it's rly hard to find, but incredibly fun and at times heartbreaking.
