A small question

i have a small question based on points. u see, when i went to the Manga Main Menu, on the top, it said log in to view the Manga. so i did. then it went to the account settings page. under points said 8. when i logged in on the forums, i went to Account Settings under the Website Stuff and saw that i had 24 points. how much do i reli have? Confused

24 on the primary site, 8 for the manga site at the moment.

Your points on the manga site will be updated with your points on the main site ( i.e. 24 ) on the next update.

Okay the user list on the manga server is updated once a week.... So in the meatime, if you

A) Create a account
B) Have more points

It won't appear on the manga server until the next update. We are currently looking at a 1 week update schedule. It will avoid a little spam and in the same time, more control over the quantity of people accessing the manga.

That doesn't stop you from creating an account and gathering point, only you will have access to it a few days later up to a week later.

isn't it possible to transfer login information from one server to another using some kind of html thing attached to each link?

Kaiser's awesome pic on what we changed and why it works.

During December we had one database and you only needed to login once to the single database (mysql). Server 1 would tell server 2 what to do AND process most of the actions between the user and website.

Now we divided that. Server 2 is independent. It has a copy of the database so it doesn't need to run off server 1 so server 1 is now faster. Sharing a database will slow the server down on which the mysql database was on with the servers we have.

Solution is to split up the load and keep it this way until we can upgrade.

Now since there are two databases and they're not connected, we have to update them. This has to be done by an admin manually. We figure updating this once a week is an acceptable option. So you guys may find your up to date account on server 1 but server 2 will see a slight lag until we update the database.

What you can do now is visit our sponsors and sponsored links/banners to help pay for a new upgrades!
