| Final Fantasy pulls off CG real well, I think it just depends on the story line, if its complex and the like it would be cool in CG and such, but sometimes handdrawn is nice too |

If you are talking about Advent Children.... It was meant to be a CG film, for goodness' sake....
Anyway, I believe that a little CG in animes is quite all right. In fact, I would like that, as long as they don't go overboard with the CG usage. _________________ [IMG:350:100:b32e8a3e97]http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/FAITH01/tomoyo1.png[/img:b32e8a3e97] |

| Okay, I love CG, but I really don't like how it seems to be replacing hand-drawn animation, as they are completely different things. Also, it seems to me, that they're putting a lot of bad cg in anime so that they can say, 'Oh, we used cg in this anime.' |

Personally, I think it depends. Well done CG can be used to enhance standard animations with good results. Hey, if it is nifty I'm all for hybrid animations. Although I do think that a 100% CG production is NOT Anime. Anime is, to me, composed mostly of classical animation by definition, while CG is just CG. In my book Advent Children, for example, is NOT an anime. _________________

i think for some anime CG is required to make the scene more interesting and beutiful and make it feel a tad more realistic. for me the best CG's come from gonzo. _________________ http://s2.darkpirates.com/c.php?uid=73670 |

Well....why not?
Anime after all is just animation....and ppl have accepted CG as a form of animation (Shrek/Nemo/Toy Story/ff: Advent children).....so its only natural that anime evolves to use comps....it inevitable.... |

| I think it should only be done to enhance the animation. Like in Vandread where the Mech battles was done in CG. I thought it was blended very well. |
