I would say the people also. Its the main thing that makes people hooked on mmorpg games. Even if the game sucks or becomes super boring, people still want to login to play with the people they want to play with.

Of course there are times when its sorta fun to be a complete jerk and laugh about it to.. not that I ever do that...
