| ever since i remeber there has always been an "it" anime. some of these "it" anime can include the dragon ball series and sailor moon. these anime are considered the big thing and help bring those who do not know of anime into the anime world. now-a-days these "it" series are still out there. so what i want to know is what anime do you consider the "it" anime? |

| Naruto is losing its fans and I think we can't call Naruto the "it" for that. AIR is good too, but I think it only appeals to a certain segment of anime-lovers. The most suitable series right now that can fit the position would be Gundam SEED Destiny.... IMO |

I actually dont think theres really ever been some IT anime.... Um I got into it cause a friend found a torrent site by accident and since we had dabbled with DBZ we watched some anime and fell in with the crowd, but actually i dont think theres ever been one anime that brings people to anime in any special way..? _________________ "Let them hate, so long as they fear" |

| There are IT animes, anyone remeber Pokemon? Yeah alot of anime fans didn't like it but it spread like the plague none the less. It did have a lot of factors pushing it to be the IT i.e. non stop video-game sequels. I'm not to sure if I can say there is another anime that carried the same popularity as Pokemon di at its peak. |

haha, oh yea, pokemon memories. for me, the IT anime was DBZ though
newayz, when u say "IT" anime, im thinking "violent sort of anime that appeals to kiddies as well as non-kiddies."
i find that the pattern with these kind of "IT" anime is that they contain a sort of "elaborate" violence where as the fighting peoples (or creatures) perform their attacks in a sort of uniform, complicated, but easy to folow fashion.
like pokemon, dragonball, yugioh (the cards count as attacking i guess), and sailor moon.
if naruto was to be licensed, and slapped into one of those general WB/Fox channels or wutever, it'd be an "IT" anime most likely. (but i hope they don't do that, cuz they'd totallyh kill it)
but of course, this theory bs i made up only applies to the kiddies. im not sure how to classify "IT" anime is for non-kiddies _________________ GG |

| I think Naruto, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Prince of Tennis, can be called "it" anime. Those animes already have a very long episodes. |

Even though there seem to be less and less narutards I still consider Naruto to be the "it" anime. When I ask most anime newcomers what their favourite anime is 80% of the time the name that comes out of their mouth is Naruto. If it was to ever be licensed and put out in North America it would surely be the it anime. I have a feeling Naruto will go on a DBZ downfall in a few years though and liking naruto will be the uncool thing to do amongst anime fans. But for now it's the 'it' anime because every other anime(with the exception of initial d and gundam seed destiny) is just not nearly as popular. _________________ Urgo... living in Vancouver now go Calgary Flames! |

| I think that the 'it' anime is similar to fashion trends and new technologies that emerge like sprouting mushroom and outdating the old merchandise,it is up to the consumers to actually root to the product that they like and support them all out, thick and thin times. |

| i think gundam seed is an "IT" anime for the gundam saga or gundam sequels. but i think "IT" animes are animes that flourishes or rekindles interest in the anime industry. Such as the naruto series which spawned new interest among thousands of new viewers and old viewers alike. so to me dbz, yu yu hakusho, gundam saga, ranma are one of the IT animes in my country dat are sparking new interest among young and adults(who used to didnt like animes) oh yeah and also akira most of which are action flicks |

I still maintain theres no such thing as an it anime. Sure theres popular animes and naruto is prolly the most popular but i have honest doubts about how many people this show has brought into anime. Its mostly a show watched by anime fans who were into anime previous. Okay DBZ and Pokemon had an impact here but i really dont think they helped anime that much as far as bumping up the fanbase... Honestly i never met a person who said DBZ was so cool that he or she need to go find more like it _________________ "Let them hate, so long as they fear" |
