does any one find cosplay disturbing at times?

i have big problem with cosplay. i know its popular and all especially during a convention but sometimes i find cosplay disturbing. there are times that cosplayers are really good at times. i remember this one girl who dressed up as yuna from FFX-2 and she was hot and she kinda looked like her too. than there was someone else who dressed up as Felicia from Darkstalkers and damn i got nightmares from that.

I saw a guy cosplay Yuna and was bad at it. that was a line that not needed to be crossed...lol

i went to an anime convention once. that was a terrible experience from the start. there was this fat white guy standing in line in front of my friends. he was wearing a stained spandex sailor moon costume. no one should see that. after that, and seeing some of the strangest people there, i have never gone to another anime convention again. the mental scars are just too painful.

that, and that some of my friends were trying to convince me to cosplay as gai, from naruto.

Yes. 'specally when the person looks nothing like the character.

i think cosplay can be really well done and also mentally scarring...9 times out of 10 it's usually the latter. fun to look at pics though

the problem with cosplay is that the people who usually do it are about 2-4x the size of the character they are cosplaying as! (reffering to the us only i'm not sure about other countires)
