2005 anime disappointment or not?

with the new fansub releases of some of the most anticipated anime of 2005 has anyone found any of them a disappointmen? if so which one?

its not the fansub which i find dissapointing, its the anime which i find dissapointing =(

1st dissapointment - Mahou Sensei Negima (so many flaws)
2nd dissapointment - Xenosaga (animation isnt that nice)

Meh, I'm sure negi ma will pick up soon enough. It's tough drawing all those friggin' characters all the time!

On Xenosaga: I personally have grown fond of the animation for it. When I first saw it, I didn't like it much, but now I've pretty much gotten used to it. It's not so bad Smile

I figure we should give the shows a little more time before dismissing them completely. A lot of shows start of slow but pick up after a few episodes.

there's too many flaws in mahou sensei negima for them to fix. If they do, they should start the anime from scratch all over again.

Firstly, their voice cast isnt really appropriate. Especially Asuna's voice

Secondly, they packed too many chapters into 1 episode. Its more like a summary of the manga then actually a series

Thirdly, their panty shots is nonsensical, and they cut out so many ecchi scenes!! MSN FANS! KILL THEM ALL!!! grrrrr Twisted Evil

Fourthly, their animation on the characters is quite weak compared to the manga.

I think people disappointed in the anime Mahou Sensei Negima are those that have read the manga, so they're all comparing the anime to the manga. I think people should watch Mahou Sensei Negima as something individual, keep an open mind. think of the anime as standing on its own. I'm sure one would appreciate the effort put into this anime. I pesonally think the anime is a fun watch, some scenes may be cheesy, but still bring some laughs.

anyways I was really disapointed in the fact there was no Elfen Lied OVA included it made me a really sad panda!

Mahou has "fan-service-crap-show" written all over it though I guess that's why I enjoy it - it's too crappy not to laugh at it (though I don't think I'm laughing at the intended places...).

I don't know why, but the negima anime seemed girly. Maybe it's the music and voices.

So far I haven't found any 2005 anime that I would continue watching.

Id sticking with air and while the eyes and the girlieness are a bit exessive, its worth keeping an eye out for the next episode.

Mahou Sensei Negima sucks! I already know it since the opening movie which is far too simple.

But anyways, how are we supposed to judge if 2005 has been a disappointment when we're not even through January yet? Just find it weird that you're basing an entire year on not even a full month.

lol i think air is a series worth keeping an eye on though. The animation is superb and character wise and music are just as great. The story line and plot is still abit vague though, so we'll have to wait and see.

Xenosaga is getting interesting and better, despite the animation i hope their standards wont drop later on.

Mahou Sensei Negima.... well i'll still be collecting the series since i'm a MSN fan, but i hope they improve on their fan service though. Their fan service is so sad!! ><

I hope there will be more anime based on game like Xenosaga & Viewtiful Joe. You know what I mean, not just "inspired" by the game, but totally an adaptation from the game. This is good for those who didn't play the game but curious about the storyline.
