I hope there will be more anime based on game like Xenosaga & Viewtiful Joe. You know what I mean, not just "inspired" by the game, but totally an adaptation from the game. This is good for those who didn't play the game but curious about the storyline.
I wouldn't mind seeing a shadow hearts anime or something from that series....but it will never happen...
The only anime that I've stopped watching was Yakitate Japan...but what can you expect from a show about bread making...*Sigh* and I'm studying to be a baker...lol.
It's true about Mahou Sensei Negima. All of those who read the manga considers the anime truly crap. I for one, are one of them. They could of done better with the storyline, but I have to give them respect because it's hard to draw all 30+ different characters in one scene. The manga though is better.
-Ah! My Godess ! - I've been hearing about this serie for a loooong time, and was expecting a great Anime. It's barely "decent".
-Xenosaga - I wasn't a big fan of the game ( quit because it felt too much like a movie ) but I thought it they actually made a serie out of it I might find it good. I didn't.
Out of the 3 new Animes I've seen this season, I only like AIR.
EDIT : Wait.. I forgot about Negima >_>
Personnaly, I didn't think it was too bad. I'm just sad they cut so many Ecchi parts....
Well. If you're looking for anything ecchi, than AMG : TV is definitely not for you. But I can say that I am not at all disappointed in it, but I am actually pleasantly surprised by what they did with it. I don't know what you're expecting from it.... but it's just supposed to be a light-hearted romantic/comedic anime. The directors came through with flying colors in this regard, along with good music selection.
But yes.... Xenosaga has gotten worse I think instead of better.

I've never liked any of Ah! My Goddess. It's just a typical shounen romance anime/manga with a shallow servant-girl/housewife for a romantic interest. Not quite my cup of tea... _________________ Is that the best you can do, you pansies?
Well I knew it wasn't ecchi, but I thought they'd be a bit more serious about the "romance" part... It might happen later on, so I'll keep watching, but so far it's really disappointing.

Well... as for me I think I'm more satisfy rather then disappointing. Many new anime have been release this year and majority of them are indeed interesting and unique. SHUFFLE!, DCSS, FMP The Second Raid, Okusama wa Joushikosei, Trinity Blood, To Heart 2, Gundam Seed Destiny, Bleach, Gokujou Seitokai, Dokuro-chan, AMG TV series, Eien no Aseria, and etc. This animes really get me going not to mention getting a 80gig hard disk specially just to store this anime.
However, I do have my disappoinment with some anime that being release such as Tsubasa Chronicle that really let me down... the first few ep is promising but later on It is just crap, Negima suffer the same luck. Both this anime really a big disappoinment and since I've read the manga no doubt I've been frustrating over the anime.
Other than above mention anime such as Suzuka, Izumo TV, Ichigo 100%, Koi Koi 7, Futakoi Alternative, and some other anime is just so-so...
So since many anime was at satisfactory level or enjoyable is more than the opposite ones. I guess I'm pretty content with the way it is... ^^ _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b]

No way... between Basilisk and Speed Grapher.. this has been an AWESOME year for me...
Add to it that bleach is becoming better now... made it real good.. (and One Piece has become awesome now K-F subs)... just wish Naruto would straighten up back.
I was a bit let down by Dokoro-chan. Technically, there's nothing wrong with it, but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. The violence was too cartoony to touch my funny bone. It's a personal preference.
Xenosaga was also a let down for me. The animation felt fine, but the story was moving too fast and wasn't giving me enough of the characters I loved from the game. Also, because I had gotten so fond of the game soundtrack, the music they had for the series didn't sit well with me. Again, just personal preferences.
But over all, it's been good. Speed Grapher and Eureka Seven have been pure joy for me.

You rock, sir. (I too love AIR)
But that was last season -_-
IMO, this season wasn't bad. Trinity blood and Aquarion are the only ones I look forward too now. I gave up Erementar Gerad and Eureka 7 after a bit. As it progressed, it just somehow lost its luster. It wasn't as promising.
TSR looks pretty steady, so I'll see how things go with this one.

Yea Xenosaga sux... but Erementar Gerad at least should deserve some credits... Dokuro-chan is not exactly my type of anime... (Too violence...) but ironically, I actually laugh at how the hero

I'm starting to sound insane... my mom would freak out if she found out that i actually laugh my ass off with this anime... _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b]

I was mostly dissapointed in the new Genshiken anime the manga lives up to its hype but the anime could be a touch better
Not counting the hundreds of other manga I've already read and have now like Peacemajer Kourgane and Genshiken and many others .....um many cooler manga or anime might come out soon enough.

Damn! You sounded just like me for a quick minute!
I agree, Tsubasa was my 1st manga I purchased and Negima was my 1st manga I ever seen in person and read, so these two mangas hold a special place in my anime heart. Those 2 are my favorite mangas and I just couldn't wait for the anime but I was very disappointed with both of them. Negima was too low-budget and Tsubasa started off strong but after a while I couldn't even follow it anymore.
Just as you said though, I was more pleased than disappointed with the anime of 2005. Erementar Gerad, Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~, Magical Canan are my favorite of 2005! I can agree that Erementar Gerad isn't for those expecting a strong storyline but I find this anime being another Inuyasha in the making so if fillers aren't your thing then I can't blame you for skipping it. Mahoraba is just a charming, cutesy show and deserves a lot more viewers. Magical Canan was very good to me but the biggest disappointment is that a lot of people skipped out on it.
I think me and you were the only people pleased with Eien no Aseria. _________________
