I didn't see much of a point in it. I mean one ship against an empire? And inexperienced cadets?
At least the big shadow master plan behind the scenes got me a little interested. So I'll stick with it to see where it lands, and save my opinions until then. |

Nothing special in the first episode.
The second episode however was more promising with the intorduction of a shadow goverment.
Looks like the begining of a more complex story. Can't say I'm hooked on this series but will be following the next few episodes to see where it goes. |

| The basis of the story is kinda lame, but of late I need some scifi series so Starship Operators will have to do for now. |

I think the anime's a little bit overreacted... just a bunch of cadets who wanna play heroes againt a 'big' enemy during war time.... _________________ Still waters run deep.... |

Hmm... seems like I am one of the few here, who sees a prospect in the anime and has been able to keep up with its background and such? Could be the tonnes of science fiction I have read, I guess...
The set up of the premise of this series is less contrived than most other animes out there ( some of which are even current popular series ). The issue is that the circumstances are mostly subtly introduced rather than explicitly stated for everyone. However they are slowly revealing more and more of the plot as the episodes go. It is a short series, just 13 episodes. |

I've enjoyed the two episodes I've seen so far. It is a bit slow paced, but I think for things like this that works. It does sound like there is a bit more going on than at first glance. I hope they are able to tell the story well in 12 episodes.
One thing I think is kind of neat about the story is that they're basicly doing a show about a reality show in the future. [/img] |

| Well, the series in terms of plot/pacing reminds me of Star Trek (mainly due to the fact that they explain all the tactics/action)...(when they should be animating it... lol) => bottom line is Starship Operators has an interesting backstory (which will keep me watching it) but the low budget animation brings down the enjoyment factor.... unless u enjoy slideshows... ok, thats a hyperbole =P |

The first episode had a funny thing occur, the newsman said "Too bland but not too bad, for a first episode" or something like that, and I felt the same.
It seems meh to me, so I was thinking of not continuing but because its a short series, I guess I don't have to worry. |

Kouzuki-chan is soooo moe, really love her!
Finally some real space battles without mechs and strange close combat stuffs, cannons fired across light seconds, stealth combat, bikini commercials, it is getting better and better |
