Okay....personally, I liked III much more than IV. Idk why, I just did, I think the main character just ruined it all for me........with that weird running..........made me want to finished the game faster than I really wanted to, I just couldn't watc him run any more, it was driving me insane! |

| I prefered IV just because the game flowed better and was a bit more approachable. |

the reason that i thought IV was so bad because i saw it as a step back in the series because III was just so damn good. there was always improvement between 1-3, but in 4 there was none at all.... suikoden 3 is still one of my favorite games, but 4 might have ruined the series for me.
also... because of my dislike of 4, i have not picked up Suikoden Tactics... is it any good? |

| my favorite is 2, but IV is a decent game, i thought it was a pain in the ass to sail everywhere and there was a lack of character development. the story is so/so. I also hated how they removed 6 man parties but thank god theyre re-adding that |

agree--too easy, too short. I feel the story lacks the time to really develope. Most of my friends hate Suikoden IV, but I kind of like it. The battle system doesn't stand up to Suikoden III in my oppinion though. |

| To be frank, I'd say Suikoden IV suffers in comparison with the other Suikoden series thus so far. The few aspects that really ruin the experience is the fact that the ship moves really slow, even when you're accelerating it, the high encounter rate, leading to a ridiculous battle frenzy, and the very fact that there's an invisible barrier near every island doesn't help either. It adds to the frustration instead. But as a whole, Suikoden IV still delivers in a few aspects; the story is decent, the mini-games are great and of course, the recruiting of the 108 SoD is always a real pleasure. Hell, I even liked the voice acting, I personally feel that it was well done and the actors sounded really convincing. |

| I haven't played any of the other ones but I have played this. I loved this game. If I wan't so broke I would buy it too. My favorite thing was the Rune of Punishement, I would use it whenever possible. |
