| Harry potter all three movies were so much worse than the 3 books they were based on. I havn't watched the other films you mentioned, what about the best book to movie conversion? that would have to be the lord of the ring. |

The worst I've seen was the Secret Window by Stephen King... sure it had Johnny Dep and he always acts well... but the movie was just bleh. I actually enjoyed reading the novel. I guess the biggest twist was already spoiled for me so it wasn't nearly as suspenseful. I'm a bit scared of the Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow movie that's going to come out... I have a feeling that'll take the place of Secret Window :'( hope not though *crosses fingers* _________________ Urgo... living in Vancouver now go Calgary Flames! |

| I believe that this thread should be moved to the Entertainment section. |

| You people think that Prisoner of Azkaban was the only one that stank?!?! The goblet of fire was nauseating too! I mean, sure, it's because of prisoner of azkaban that the goblet of fire had to stink too, but still.... At least the first two movies TRIED to stay to the book. Anyway, who wants to kill the new director and curse whoever gave the new director the right to direct the forementioned movies. Oh yeah, and perhaps burn Daniel Radcliffe at the stake....wait, cross that out, he's got his moments at acting. Oh yeah, and one more movie....Ella enchanted. Was that an AU of the book or what. I wanted to burn the movie itself. I had aspirations to be a director, and when I read that book, I really wanted to film it...But my feelings were crushed when I was informed someone was already making a film of it. Not only that, but it was DELAYED TWO YEARS.... I thought, well they better be making a hell of a movie, but then that....that....'movie'(i really don't want to call it that) was like a PARODY to the real thing. I swear, if I do become a director, I will make them good again, instead of the horrible, screaming effigys they have become. |

well the goblet of fire is pretty good if you pretended that you haven't read the book. The special effects on the dragon and magic was ok.
o and daredevil does stink. |

I was hugely dissapointed by From Hell.
When I first heard they were making a movie based on the comic book I had really high expectations and then the movie turned out to be worse than a horses ass. >.<
The comic book is great thou. Considered to be one of Alan Moores best work by some. I recommend it. |

the new scarlet letter movie.
the harry potter movies were pretty good renditions. They stuck with the plot, and didn't try to add anything (I haven't seen the most recent one, but i'm assuming it's the same as the rest)
I personally thought "The Count of Monte Cristo" was annoying because it wasn't true to the book (i don't think a single movie could have done it, it'd take too much time to develop the characters properly) but it was still an entertaining movie. |

There are tons of horrible ones, but the one that pissed me off the most was The Count of Monte Cristo. I love the book, but he movie was only barely true to it. _________________ Miku Miku!!

| I'd have to say the animated Lord of the Rings. I still remember that aweful song: "Frodo of the nine fingers, and the ring of doooooooooommmm'. Grrrr I hated it. |
