Slow motion HELP!

for some reason my windows media player plays some media files in slow motion, anybody know how to fix this???? thanks in advance Very Happy

Try using a different media player, close any unlessary programs running or upgrade your pc.

Just tell me a few things.....

Motherboard specs
RAM: type and size
HDD size

512 mb DDR-SD RAM(?)
Chipset i865P/PE/G/i848P
74.5 GB memory

Well, at least your PC is much more powerful than my laptop..... My laptop does not have any problem like that.... Well, I think you can solve your problem in two ways.....

1) Download other players
There are free players out there that you can download in the net. Some of them are DivX player, BSPlayer(What I'm using now) and also VLC(VideoLAN Player).

2) Uninstall your codec and download another one.
Maybe your codec are old so try to uninstall them and then download latest codec packs in the web. Two of them that I now suggests are Codec Pack - All in 1 and also Matroska Pack Full Version.

i had this problem on my moms laptop.. i had installed 5 million codexs and then the anime ran fine.. but if i tried to run anything off the internet.. anysort of streaming file.. it played in super-slow motion, i uninstalled everything... and nothing worked.. so eitheryou can somehow roll back the system files, or i just re-installed windows... she needed a re-formating anyways..

If it is streaming, then it may be due to the connection speed. What kind of connection that you use to download the stream file??

Then I think the best way to solve it is to reformat your computer. I think it could be all the spywares that slows down your system.
