i think i could be both, he's kissed both of them once, helped each of them when she was at her lowest, and i think he truly cares for them both. I lean towards Natsuki because i think between the two she has grown the most over the course of the manga

yeah but did they say anywhere that if there is no love between the key and hime there will be no child????

also in the story he showed all the sighns of loving mai, in fact if it wasnt for the whole key dies/brother dead/her becoming a princess and rejecting him....they would be together by now.

name of this story it would be Mai.So sad

I think Natsuki is the dark beauty of this story, even though it's Mai who seems to be getting the prize. But like it was pointed out both child appear so it's a question about unrequitted(sp?) love I think.

I just finished the manga, and i will have to say I like Natsuki better but Tate will probably end up with Mai cuz of the title and how there references to them 2 a lot.
