1st time female

This is the 1st time i've drawn a female anime figure, and I see it isn't that great, so can anyone give me some tips and areas to work on? I really have great difficulty with drawing hands and feet in particular... and i'm still workin on clothes lol

try working on the face first.. look up some tutorials..

ok, constructive criticism:
the top of her head is a bit flat. her torso is too long. her upper arm is too long also, and the angle of her elbow is off.
for working on hands and feet, try drawing your own. this way you will see how fingers look and how all the joints bend and whatnot. you can look at shoes or pictures of shoes to see how the angles of the tops and bottoms are, relative to each other.
the height of adults is usually 7 to 8 times the length of their head, but cartoons can be taller or shorter. it depends on the effect you want to have. experiment around with it and you'll see what i mean. there are anime/manga character tutorials online also. one i saw was www. howtodrawmanga. com/ tutorial/ tutorial. html (without spaces, of course). just do a search. lots of stuff comes up.

oh, yeah. her butt is a little flat. lol
but for a first try, this is pretty good. i really suck at drawing anime-style characters lol. this looks better than my sorry attempts lol. i'm always saying "man, i'm gonna learn how to draw like that so i can post stuff to the forums!!" but i'm kind of a perfectionist, so if i don't like a drawing, i don't show it to people. i usually tear it up into little pieces and put it in recycling! lol
keep it up. practice practice. improvement happens pretty quickly if you set your mind to it. (man, that sounds pretty cheesy )

Thanks loads people. I've kinda given up on that drawing and started another one, but I'm waiting to scan it lol
