rock is good. but i really odnt like anything from the late 70's and 80's. so im gonna go wiht the eagles and pink floyd and queen. and if you want proper music listen to classical. good ol ludwig van.

I listen to every genre and liked them all. I dont know WTF are the sub-genres and styles. I dont care about them. But I love them as much as I like pop.

fave: Keane(ok, maybe its not rock), U2, Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas(I dont even care if its funk), and many more that i cannot think of now. Its very noisy here.

more and more bands are coming out and most of them are rock bands. well any ways i really love rock and i have to have it or i'll die.

i listen to all sorts of rock, i love em ;D and here s a few band i listens to most...linkin park, the strokes, the offspring, breaking benjamin, foo fighters, the killers, jimmy eat world, incubis, franz ferdinand, red hot chili, switchfoot, sum41, mudvyane, NIN, papa roach, modest mouse, puddle of mud, 3 doors down, U2, velvet revolver....and the list goes on and on...

er, whats the point of this vague thread but to generalize vast amounts of really different kinds of music... but ill write stuff anyway Razz

yea there's a lot of crap calling itself rock these days, but hella awesome if you find something inspiring, and lol btw, talking about genres beating each other in sales? since when the hell does popularity have anything to do with quality, i'd not put quite so much faith in the majority's intelligence... or taste in music...

hm right there's some nice new canadian rock bands like alexisonfire, billy talent, broken social scene (not sure bout that one yet), death from above 1979 and loads of others i have no idea exist and for some reason I've gotten into the Cure lately. for the you who hates 80s stuff yea i couldnt really like any too but... apparently some of its not so bad eh? and NIN. yea that's really not rock. damn, there really are loads of sub categories of rock, going into different genres altogether and.. bleh. good thing I don't care enough to learn any of em. hm thats bout it then.

Rock is my most favorite genre by far, but i really hate rock today. Its all the same crap all the time with sooo many untalented guitar players when you cmpare them to people like jimmy hendrix, jimmy paige, and eddie van halen. So I live i nthe past with rock and I hope one day it will go back to the days when it was creative in not just the music itself but the lyrics too.

sum rock metal music has almost gone back to the way it should be like trivium they are said to be the next metallica accept for the growling they bring back the old metal, who knows maybe my metal band will be the next metallica or iron maiden lol but anyway the rock industry will raise up again you just have to wait my fellow friends Very Happy
