Halo got me into buying an X-box. I bought a ps2 for Final Fantasy Series. The first game that got me hooked to video games would have to be Secret of Mana, back in the snes days.

I'm still playing this game today, only emulated. Dark Wizard for the Sega CD. That thing took FOREVER to complete, and I mean like 400 hours or so, per character. This strategy/rpg was by far the longest game I have ever played and the only game that kept me up all night and day playing it. I blew an entire summer of my high school life completing it.

The games that have me playing the most would have to be Dynasty Warriors or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I don't know what it is about the games but I just can't put them down. The hack and slash or super easy strategy just doesn't let me leave. Well... I put down Dynasty Warriors if I somehow loose, which is a very rare event.

Other then those two games... Anything Final Fantasy gets me addicted. I just love leveling up my character as much as possible before getting off of the first disk or visiting the very next area. In Final Fantasy VIII I managed to fully level up Squall and Quistis before the Dollet exam, now that took forever. Though it is easier to do so in that game rather then VII or any of the other games.

Wait... Front Mission 4 had me rather addicted for a while, I did something similar to what I do with Final Fantasy but with this I had to use those simulators. I hated doing it but I just couldn't stop, perhaps I like misery...

Right now, I'm hooked on mario Kart DS. Winning is so much more fun when you're beating a person instead of a machine. Twisted Evil

After christmas though, I plan on getting hooked on many games.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was the best. It was satirical and exciting. The story was kind of stupid, but the outlandish objectives and tasks were always so hilarious. Throwing toilet paper at the "Great Mighty Poo," forcing cows to drink prune juice to coax their defecation, and watching a bee "pollinate" the "pistils" of a flower" all cracked me up. The parodies on Alien was also memorable.

Other great games are: Mario Tennis, Banjo-Kazooie, FF7, Chrono Trigger, Soul Caliber, Jet Grind Radio, Samba de Amigo, Phantasy Star series. (I guess these are old games)

the most addictive games of all times (at least for me anyways) has to be one of the following :
- Warcraft (All of them from even the very first one)
- Starcraft/BW
- Counter Strike
- Quake (I/II/II/etc)
- Doom
- Diablo
- Ragnarok Online (and many more mmorpgs...)
ahahaha and more recently online Texas Holdem' Poker games lol, with so many games being made nowadays that can seduce the young mind, no wonder we're becoming such a messed up society, but still, gotta thank these geniuses for coming up with such great games and hope they keep on coming

I spent a lot of time on these games, in chornological order
MUD (medievia) 2~4 years
Final fantasy series
Starcraft/broodwar (about 2 years)
Counter Strike (as long as I can remember)
Warcraft 3 (custom maps, DoTA is da bomb) (about 1.5 years)
Ragnarok Online (2 years)
WoW (half a year, but a really intense half a year Razz)

Other non-lengthy, but just addictive games:
Zookeeper Razz LOL (http://www.2flashgames.com/f/f-231.htm not official site, but you can easily search for this game)
Smash bros!
Dynasty warrior!
