No, I haven't watched the serie yet. But after hearing so much about it had gotten me interested. After finding bits and pieces of information, now it all comes down to whether or not I WANT to watch this serie or not.
I already know the base of the plot, and just knowing that is already churning my stomach. The concept is so dark and sick, I don't know whether or not it's worth to watch it at all. I applaud the creator to be able to bring fourth such unique situation, but... er... ick. I can see this is one of those serie that would probably put you in a depressive mood for weeks. Yet, this serie interests me to no ends.
So I suppose to question stands. Is it really worth to watch it? Was it a huge emotional blow? If it is, how did you deal with it?
I just thought I'd get myself prepared before I jump into something that I know that's gonna be painful.
Kimi ga Nozumu eien is one of the most emotional anime there is. No anime has ever made me cry and kimi ga nozumu eien didn't neither, but it does bring you close to tears. The love triangle between the 3 best friends may be a cliche, but originally based on a hentai game, the anime is well done and has good voices and acting. After you've watched the anime it does leave an impact on you emotionally, and you may need tissues if you can't handle serious stuff. I recommend this anime to mature people who can handle teenage dramas otherwise you may regret watching it.

You definitely must not miss this anime..... I really love this anime so much that I watch it 9 times (I'm an anime watcher and REwatcher too). _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Personally, I didn't like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien as much as others. But considering the art, animation, storyline, and music - it's a great series. The art is well-defined and obviously unique among others. In terms of the animation, I especially like the ending theme, possibly how they did the starry sky, their background settings are nice, bright, and vivid as well. The story is probably my favourite feature about Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. It's really dramatic and definitely not something you see everyday.
However, what brought my disliking of this series is my relationship with the characters. I did not like any character, I couldn't sympathize with any except poor Haruka (that's her name right?). Shinji and Akane were up there, but the others (Mitsuki, Takayuki, the restaurant....girl, etc...) - I didn't have a liking for them. Found their actions didn't fit their character or I just thought they were too irrational. But perhaps that's what makes it realistic (since I do watch series that usually are very unrealistic: mahou shoujo).
Believe you me when I say I'm the most emotional person you'll know, I cry at the simplest things. Yet, I did not cry with this series, I guess that tells you how important characters are in terms of your liking (or disliking). Also, I didn't really like the result of the ending, but it was well concluded.
Just my opinion, considering everything else aside from the characterse (which is entirely MY OPINION), it's a good and well deserving watch.
That serie is the bomb, it's soooooo cool. dont' like how it end though. i didnt want it to end like that. i was on my seat saying noooooooooooooo. but it's one of the best anime of all time. like for drama of course.
I just finished watching the anime a while ago...and I thought it was really good. I havent come accross much realistic animes before so this was really refreshing. yes, it is very emotional (altho didnt quite make me cry) and very soap-opra like but I still couldnt take my eyes off the screen, lol (its addictive like soap-opras). The only thing that didnt quite work for me in the anime was the little humor here n there done by characters that werent really significant...I mean, if those jokes were in any other anime, I would've laughed my ass off but in this one, it just made me more tense. What I really liked was the ending, altho sad but I thoght the characters (specially one main character in particular...u'll know which one when u watch it) deserved it. So all in all, a good emotional/drama anime thats well worth watching so dont hesitate

Well its one helluva emotional roller coaster so you better be ready too cry. I thought it was unbelievably great though. I was amazed at the shows workings and i would highly reccomend it. _________________ "Let them hate, so long as they fear"
I really loved this anime but the ending was very disappointing in my opinion.
Mitsuki's personality didn't grow on me as much as the other, so it a somewhat dissappointing anime.

I'm still not sure about this anime. I tried watching it again to see if I missed anything that was worth remembering. Turns out, nothing much to remember besides Daikuuji and Mayu Mayu. Those two made this series watchable at most.
The whole story is stock soap opera as said before by so many other people here. You want drama. Go with Air. Or even go old school with Full Moon wo Sagashite.
Not only do I highly disagree with any comment saying that this series is just an animated soap opera, but I also have to ask is that really much of a problem anyway. This anime has a lot of emotion and deals with isssues that some people can relate to sometimes. If a soap opera is supposed to be true to emotions and realism, then this anime takes that title with pride! _________________
